Guys'n'Gals,

Mini-Gun#1 has suddenly expressed an interest in sub-Ohming, coil-building, and clouds

He currently has several devices capable of up to 75W, and a subtank with stock 0.5 ohm coils but he's ken to try more. With me being a dedicated MTL vaper I'm not really best placed to advise him on current RBAs, RDAs, and squonking (which he's also interested in trying), so any advice from you loverly lot on easy-to-build, decent, not-too-expensive kit fro him to try would be appreciated, along with wire, coil sizes, etc., etc., would be welcomed

I'm sure you'll get loads of great advice here GunJack but personally, I have various mods, sub ohm exclusively, and never go above around 70w meaning that his existing mods would be sufficient for the moment.
I currently have a couple of Ammits and two Geekvape Griffin 25s on the go, and have dual coil 3mm ID 6 wrap .5mm Kanthal in them, works fine for me. Loads of clouds and flavour!
Will be following this post to see what others are using!
ETA: I also have a Pulse Squonk which I'm very pleased with. Not expensive for a first play around with BF atomisers, but make sure he understands Ohm's Law and battery safety

He's pretty sensible TBF, and I'm going to keep his feet well and truly grounded through all this

I am shockingly pleased with my current set up

Wasp Nano with an Athena squonk mod - using Ni80 at 5 wraps - comes out about 0.4.

Nice clouds and superb flavour - very small and light.

Nano is very easy to coil

tbh for cloudage and learning to build coils he prob best off going down the squonking route 
this seems to be the best duel batt mod at moe(the only one as far as im aware lol)

dont know how good it is but its gota be better than any single batt mod(run time and head room for bigger builds)and its got chippery in it so he shouldn't blow his head off

for learning to build coils i would suggest a single coil dripper to top it off as getting 2 coils the same can be a bit of a pain at the beginning 
i have a gorge and thf its ruddy nice and with the utem top cap you can see how much juice you have pumped in

it is defo a dl dripper and can chuch huge clouds with out much effort

Could do a lot worse than Steam Crave Aromamiser, easy to build, lots of airflow (if you want it). Not a cloud chaser myself, and may be missing something, but I think 75watts or under should be fine to start with, if you build and wick it right....

In terms of a squonker, a pico squeeze or dripbox would be a good start.

Aromamizer Supreme V2 or Boreas V2 are my two favourite RTA's right now, if you go for the Boreas then close off the airflow when filling or it can get flooded or leak as it has no juice flow shut off like the Aromamizer does.
As far as coils i'm a simple fellow these days i either use 22AWG Kanthal A1 round wire or 22AWG Kanthal A1 flat wire.
I don't bother making my own clapton or multiwire coils these days i just buy ready made ones they are cheap and it's a whole lot less hassle use dropdown menu to see varieties or use dropdown to see varieties.

I'm using a pulse24 with dual ss claptons and it's performing really good. My only thing is the airflow is not good at dialing down imo. I've ordered the drop rda as it looks perfik for my needs. Clouds and flavour is my thing at 70w and I use three drones daily. Unfortunately they are not making drones anymore so maybe a used one or a gbox is an option 😊👍
