Please help I am so confused. It seems there is almost too much info out there so now feeling unsure
I want to start vaping as so many people seem to have done so well giving up the traditional cigs
I smoke between 10 and 20 cigs a day so not sure what strength to go for also which e cig and what flavours
Sorry to sound so dense
Thank you

Hi and welcome beauty cat I started on 18mg nicotine that seems to hit the spot nicely most people new to vaping get on really well with a riva 510 kit with cartomiser or equivalent. Others will be along to give more advice too I am sure

Hi BC and a big welcome There is an awful amount of information and products out there and with so many coming out all the time, it's really hard for most people to keep up with what's going on. I suppose the main question we need answering to give you some advice, is what size e-cig do you think you want. There are 3 main sizes, the cig a like, more or less the size of a normal fag. The Ego, about the size of a large cigar And the mod, about the size of a small torch (alot of people end up with these after a while) When I started, I went through all 3, as having anything larger than a fag seemed impossible to work for me. Then I got used to the idea and moved up.

Hi Beautycat #welcome2# It is a bit of a learning curve but they are actually very simple once you initially get your head round the idea. I'm new to vaping too and was advised by the lovely people here to get a riva 1100 kit from vape escape and I'm really glad I did. It's easy to use even for a technophobe and the battery lasts me all day. There are however lots of other similar sized kits which are also good but which I can't comment on having not used them. 18mg is a strength most people seem to start with. Don't forget to check for discount codes before ordering anything

Hi Beauty Cat welcome There is a load of info out there no wonder you are confused ! There is a load of stuff out there too try but I would recommend staying away from anything that looks like a fag but to keep things simple to begin with I would go with something like this : vapeescape.co.uk/the-sd-keyring-ecig~266 that way you can experience reasonable performance without having to worry about filling etc initially and go for a medium strength (handily this is what it comes with). Once you are confident with that you may want to buy some of these vapeescape.co.uk/boge-510-standard-resistance-%285%29~145 and some liquid to try filling. You will also have any idea by then if the medium strength is working for you or if you need to up it or lower it. Once you are happy with this there is a whole host of toys for you to play with ....... Got to say I haven't actually used the SD myself I started on the cig alikes , but it does come highly recommended by other users on here and looking back I wish someone had guided me too it as I think when I was at your stage I would have found what I use now quite intimidating but it would have saved me the couple of hundred quid I spent on cig alikes . Do let us know how you get on we love to hear from new converts

Thank you Queenie Bee and Womble I did try an e cig like a traditional one but didn't get much out of it . Is it best best to go for the next size up? I have heard a lot about the riva. Is that the same as a normal one?

Is that the same as a normal one? You've already hit on the main problem of the fag sized ones they're not that good. Yes the riva is more or less the same as the Ego and Tornado. They are copies of the Ego. The next size up will be much better. It is difficult to advise people what to get, but a couple of 1000Ma batteries and some cartomisers and an ego vision, should get you off to a good start. (although the ego vision does need modifying to get more air through it on an ego battery, needs a hole drilling in the bottom)

Hello & welcome Beautycat The 2 kits that Karma has linked to are very good deals especially with the discount code hut10 for 10% off If you want to compare it to a Riva kit, this one has an 1100 mAh batterry (the higher the MAh the longer the battery lasts between charges.). Though it states it comes with 2 atomisers, if you went for this one, ask at checkout for the atomisers to be swapped with cartomisers & you will get 10 of them. Use discount code allabout for 10% off - www.vapeescape.co.uk/the-riva-1100-deluxe-kit~151

Welcome to the forum Beautycat. I can tell you that I bought the Riva de luxe 1100 and it is worth it's weight in gold, lovely vape long lasting batteries and 10% discount from Vapeescape, Jason will help you all he can and the delivery is excellent. No complaints about this beauty, I am relatively new to vaping also and am still learning from using this forum. Good luck, come and tell us how you get on won't you? # #

Welcome beautycat - lots of good advice above. Most of us found the Riva or eGo type kits were the best to start with (the VH ones are of the same type). The mAh rating of the battery is an indication of how long it will last between charges; 650 mAh batteries should last for a good 3-4 hours of fairly heavy use, the more expensive 1100 mAh batteries will last proportionately longer. Don't worry too much about what you start with - if you get into it you will soon be buying more batteries! All you then have to decide is whether to start with cartomisers - the bottom of this page shows you how to fill them: www.vapeescape.co.uk/boge-510-standard-resistance-%285%29~145or the Vision eGo (AKA VH star) which you just pour liquid in and top up when you see it is used up. Both are good.

Hello beautycat Most people tend to start with tobacco flavours and then experiment with others. What I did was go on to flavours I liked generally, like caramel, vanilla and cherry. If you find any you don't like, all is not lost, you can either sell them in 'classifieds' section of the forum, or ask to trade for other flavours you fancy trying.
