Black Dog. I have been mixing this recipe up for the last few months on and off just trying to get it right. The final result I am pleased with, don't make big batches of this as the blood orange starts to fade after a couple of weeks. If you don't want it to chilled reduce the Ws-23 to your taste.
Absinthe FW. 2.5% Anise. FA. 1% Black Jack Kandi-Hed 1.5% Blood Orange FW. 4% Golden pineapple Caps 2% Ws-23. 2% Polar Blast. FA. 1%
Mixed at 30pg/70vg steep time 3 days for the Black Jack to settle. If you can't get Kandi-hed try FA black jack.
Adding custard to this is really nice I add 3% it works really works well.Or is it me being weird.

This is interesting tcg69, love mixes with anise type flavours - don't have FW blood orange. what kind of orange flavour is it? I only have FA orange (pretty authentic fresh OJ - middling sweet/tart - can be a bit overpowering in mixes) and Pannetone - which is a slightly bitter orange peel type flavour and can also be a mix killer if not used in very small amounts.

beedee Blood Orange from fw tastes similar to royal orange by fa it's quite sweet but has good flavour, one problem with its slightly oily and has a tendency to split, but if you give the bottle a good shake it seems to be ok. I also have pannetone by Sasami which I make as stand alone very intense Flavour I have been trying for years to make Gins Addiction but never got close which is one of my favourite juices. Started to put Anise and Absynth into custard which gives a different dimension to custard personally I like it.

I have been trying for years to make Gins Addiction but never got close which is one of my favourite juices. Mine also tcg69 . . . . Chefs used to have in their Yummy Range(?) a flavouring called Ginny's Addict, which wasn't a bad clone at all. Less subtle in flavour than the original, but the ' essence ' was certainly there - for me anyway. No idea what's happened to it, perhaps ceedee might have a better recollection . . . . . .

Perpetua I never saw that in there yummy range or would had definitely given it ago. I will try and find out from Chefs or try and persuade them to release the recipe if they are no longer going to produce it.

It was 'retired' because it was hardly selling (along with quite a few others from the Yummy range). And Chefs are constantly adding new ranges so always need to make the best use of limited shelf space... If a few of you folks drop the office a message via the website requesting it, there's a good chance they'll add it to their next order and it'll make a reappearance.

Thanks beedee have to agree that some of these clones are nowhere near the original. I have managed to get 100ml of ginnys addiction so I will see how that goes, if it's any good will send you some to try.

tcg69, Perpetua, is this a good description of the flavour (from a review)? 'A blend of blackcurrant, juniper, aniseed, citrus and mint. Smells like a summery sloe gin cocktail. What is most impressive is that no individual note dominates, instead they come together like a symphony. Taste is very similar, complex but harmonious. You get a small hit of each flavour yet they work together to provide a consistent whole.' I like the sound of it better with gin - none of the other clone recipes include it and I've got the excellent Flavour Monks pure gin, so may have a shot at this this afternoon...

I'd say that was pretty much spot on beedee . . . . I've never got much of a gin taste from the original ( or Yummy clone ) that of course could likely be my taste buds! But the overall subtle blend of other flavours is extremely well described.
