i think the flash mob is a little over reacting ...there are a few youtube videos giving out crazy untruths too, like not to carry e-cig batteries in your pocket as your body heat can cause them to get very very very hot but i wouldnt dream of going around with a flash mob to them to point out their errors Gordy that's not untrue batteries can get hot in pockets next to body heat because it happened to me in my younger days,

I'd prefer VTTV not to be known as a bully, otherwise no one from the industry is going to want to speak to you fullstop. I would prefer an invite to the person that owns the franchise, or someone at E-lites, to come onto VTTV and be interviewed in light of your findings.

I disagree womble vttv is there to protect the consumer I agree to the point of the interview but footage like this would be able to take it higher up and get these people to sit up and listen.

In my opinion, for what it's worth, the main point is none of us want e cigs to get a bad name as being a load of useless cr*p, which is what would happen when newbie victims get conned into buying e lites, then make assumptions that's what all e cigs are like. They then pass on the word to every Tom Dick and Harry not to buy them, it spreads like wildfire and then all e cigs get tarred with the same brush.

Not sure what Intellicig has to do with e-lites. Womble ??? I'm with Hi-fi & VTTV on this. In other areas, the media exposes exaggeration/lies, so why shouldn't VTTV do the same for e-cigs?

Footage of a flash mob frightening unlucky sales people, who are probably only saying what they are told to say, will probably have more of a chance of E-lites sending out a guide on how to react in these circumstances to their franchisees, rather than a guide on what to say to the public. I would prefer a Watchdog cowboy traders scenario, where one person and a camera team tries to talk normally to one person. It has more chance of getting a conversation going, than a whole bunch of blokes turning up acting all pissed off. All you are going to be told is to move on, probably by security in the centre pretty toot sweet. I can't honestly see how this will help ???

Oops, wrong company I was thinking of, modified my posts. I think they should expose it, sorry if that wasn't clear, I just question the use of a flash mob as the best way to do it.

I wanted also to say furthermore we are not a flash mob, when you go on the bbc and you see rogue traders doing what they are doing. They are finding rogue traders, to protect consumer rights. That is no different to what vttv are doing, protecting consumers and revealing the truth. Bottom line that guy paid 9000 for a franchise, he is not going to give two hoots once a consumer has bought from him , what they think. If he did he would not have spent so. Much time making up a load of crap to make a quick buck so he can, pay his monthly fee to the bosses and pay the rent for the pitch, oh and maybe get a wage for himself. It has to stop and if this is what its gonna take I will to make a stand I will be there.

Right - on the flash mob thing - the idea is to get a fair few video cameras there, basically, not to intimidate the stallholder, but to get as many camera angles as possible, and then, at the appointed moment, get out a whole bunch of "proper" e-cigs.
I have to admit that the whole experience made my blood boil, and I may well have let that show on Thursday (it's not like me - at least, I hope not) - it's not my aim to cause bother, but to challenge the untruths the franchisee told me, and, should he need further confirmation, have folks there that can back me up from experience.

And I shall for sure be there to make sure consumers are getting the protection they deserve.

I've just watched this............. very enlightening, a friend of mine bought an E-Lite kit, she's not getting on very well with it. I didnt really want to say to her that she'd wasted her cash as she was so happy at getting something she thought she would get on with. She is in another part of the country to me so its not like I can pop over and give her a go on my Riva, but I have given her the links to Kev, Jason's and a few other sites for her to have a look and see what she could get for the money she's paid for something thats not that good when she could have got something with more quality and longer lasting.
I wonder if there has been any complaints to the various mags and newspapers that E-Lites have advertised in?
