Nic salt shot vs freebase ( normal) shot

Am I right in thinking these are both the same except for the nic salt having a better nic hit? Have been using regular nic shots (18mg) in mixes. Should I use the same strength in a nic salt shot?

From what I've read from those who have used it, it seems to give a much ' cleaner ' hit . . . . in some ways I guess, compensation for the TPD restrictions on nicotine strength. Having not tried it myself, I can't speak from personal experience, there's some user experience from around the net that might be of interest:

Not sure I can describe it tbh and I've not had any for a while now, but i remember the nic salt liquids I've tasted all had a similar taste in the background which I just took as being the nic salt.
