As my 5 year anniversary for kicking the coffin nails is fast approaching, I am looking to treat myself to a new shiny mod and atty.
I have not bought myself any new stuff for a while and have been using my trusty Sense Herakles Pro tanks on top of an Alien and a couple of squonking setups.
I have fallen out of love with sub-ohming as I find it just uses too much juice and battery without much benefit IMHO. So I am looking for a decent setup for mtl.
I have a Digiflavor Siren V2 that I have been enjoying so something similar to that would be nice.
As for a mod I am looking for a dual 18650 or dual 20700 one.
Any ideas on what I should be looking for. Been out of the game for a bit so I have no idea what's hot and what's not nowadays?
Cheers Stu

I have been looking about and so far i like the look of the Smoant Cylon with the colour screen, the Eleaf Invoke 220w, Sense VJet and the Smok X Priv. Tank wise i might just give the Doggy Style one a go as the clones have decent reviews and they are pretty cheap so it's not a big deal if i don't like it. I have also been looking at the Vandy Vape Beserker and the Innokin Ares tank as it is meant to be similar to my Digiflavor Siren V2 tank. I am willing to spend up to £100-120 on my anniversary treat so i could well get a couple of setups with today's prices on vape gear as everything seems to be cheaper than when i started vaping Hmmm decisions decisions

So i have been looking this last week and i have decided and ordered my selections for my 5th anniversary for not having a single cig in that time.
I have went for two mods which are the Smoant Cylon TC 218w an Eleaf Invoke 220w. I also ordered an Eleaf ICare 2 with extra coils for when i go on holiday for some stealth vaping when travelling.
For Atty's i have went for an Innokin Ares tank. SKX Doggystyle tank as well as an SJMY doggystyle tank as they were fairly cheap. I know i said i have fallen out of love with Sub-Ohming but i ordered a Sense V-Jet+ tank just because i couldn't help myself from buying stuff in the moment!
I also ordered some other bits and bobs from Coil Master. Some tools, coiling jig, Resistance Tester Coil Rebuilding Deck and some cases to keep them all together and organised.
Now for the worst part, the waiting!

stu1873 - I would be interested to know your thoughts on the Invoke - I have been hovering over the buy button on this mod for a couple of weeks, as I need something cheap and functional to take to work, saving my better mods for evenings and weekends. Do please post your impressions of your gear - it always helps us addicts to shinyitis!

I have a bit of a love hate experience with eleaf mods. I love that they are cheap but hate that they don't last as long as my other mods. The majority of the ones I have bought before have either failed due to the firing button packing in or the screen has packed in. Let's hope they have raised their game with this one.

Do please post your impressions of your gear - it always helps us addicts to shinyitis! My view on the Invoke is very positive so far chykensa had mine around a mth now. I bought it as i have been looking for a small twin battery mod ever since i started vaping, All so far have been to big ( imho) to be a pocket sized / carry about mod. Well the Invoke fits this bill very well the size of it about right for me it's really amazing how small this thing is, Ok i'm not into TC or anything fancy for me its in normal VW mode at 25w and it works very well. Again i like a central 510 i just think it looks better balanced like that, all tanks i have tried have fitted and worked well with nice smooth threading on it. Mine is used as a work mod and is used from 6-6 most days in that time i vape around 15-20 ml at 25w, So its not pushed hard but time i get home it has used around 50 % of the battery life (30 Q's) Build quality is fine the battery door seems to feel a bit weak but so far i have not had any problems with it, Only thing i have found the screen scratches and marks quite easy, But again that's probably down to me as it lives in a ashtray ( sat upright ) in a dozer all day and gets beaten about a lot. The paint on this black one is holding up very well not a mark or chip on it yet. I feel there is better mods out there but for a small pocket friendly cheap work mod its hard to beat. In fact i like it so much i have another one still in its box unopened as a back just in case i kill this one as my work mods do take a beating.

I am buying the Invoke to take on holiday for it's size but after that it will primarily be used as a work rig to replace one of my ageing Joyetech Cuboids when it finally dies. It has lasted pretty well tbh but the firing button is starting to be a bit hit and miss so it's time to get a backup ready.

The Innokin Aries is similar to, but, IMO, much better than the Siren, a great MTL tank but with better filling, wicking and air flow, stu1873 . chykensa - The Eleaf Invoke 220W TC VW APV Box Mod is my favourite at the moment - 18650 dual battery but smaller and lighter than many single battery mods - see here. I did not beleive how small it is until I got it. I dont usually go above 30watt so it lasts more than all day for me. Have not yet tried the temp control but I usually find e-leaf temp control with SS OK, not really my thing, though.

B Road Blaster beedee stu1873 - thanks for the feedback, I think that once I get paid next an Invoke will be on my list. I appreciate it's a cheap mod, but if it lasts a few months it will be well worth it for the money. Will post again here once I've had chance to try one out!
