Afternoon all, Apologies for the "National Enquirer" headline.... My favourite mod is my DNA Lavabox which I use everyday. Light, enough power for me, smooth vape etc etc. Started having problems with it a few days ago - I put a newly charged 18650 and it just runs down in a couple of hours (used or unused...) I thought it might be the batteries (a few of mine are ageing a bit) but the same battery used in a Pico lasts much longer. Apologies if this is an "ABC" question, but any ideas why the mod would be swallowing up battery so quickly? Always vape at 45w and under....always use a Cleito....I use the Lavabox in rotation with 3 other mods so it isn't being caned all day. It alnost seems like the battery is quickly discharging when the mod isn't being used.... Any help, very much appreciated

If its loosing power when idle it is probably a board fault, could be juice on the board or a parital shot in the wiring though, even a knackered battery. I would return it under warranty, the board has a 12 month warranty that Evolv will honer if the vendor doesn't.

The usb charger comes highly recommended by the way!

Is it possible that the battery level in the new mod is miscalibrated? Does one of these discharged cells still show as discharged in a different mod?

Definitely sounds like you have a drain going on somewhere. Mod and board need checking.

Tried the mod again tonight and it now says "too hot" and refuses to fire.
The battery inside isn't hot but the mod itself feels hot

Be very careful, getting hot is power being used fast, probably a serious drain on the battery too. Probably a hardware short.

TBH ghostrider1971, I would be binning it at this point (unless it’s under warranty or you’re a dab hand at safely finding and fixing shorts!)

beedee - Sadly, I am in agreement - this was, typically, my favourite mod My first ever DNA, super light, spot on reading of coils, excellent ramp up.....and the bugger turns in to a hand grenade a week before I go away for 6 weeks

Commiserations, ghostrider1971, it rubbish when this happens to any gear but it being your favourite mod and just before a trip just adds insult to injury. The shinyitus solution is now to treat yourself to at least two new mods as a consolation prize...
