constantly getting dry hits with 25% vg juice.
Ummmm I ran much higher VG than that.
Way back when I flirted with the original Lemos I was running over 50% VG without issue. I mean the version that had the removable base that remained on your mod, when the tank was removed for refilling.
Checked on my old pics and sorry, I do not have too many relevant LEMO shots, but I did find a couple that just might help a bit. FIRST ignore that these are for twin coils - same exact method works for a single coil.
My method was:
* Mount your coil. Do all normal tests and checks - do they fire properly, right resistance, no shorts and so on.
* Cut your wicking material long - I cut from cotton pads (whatever - Puff or similar likely from FT - I'm not too fussy and method is the same). Gently roll it between your fingers "rolly style" to make it into a cylinder shape
* Thread thro coil - ought be snug, not too tight (for cotton, tighter for rayon), not too loose. Practice soon gives the "just right" amount. BUT I find I'm making my cotton tighter within the coil than many.
* Once thro the coil - trim the ends
long.
* Fluff/brush/puff up the cotton. You want to ensure all fibres are STRAIGHT and well fluffed up. I use a combination of a small straight screwdriver to gently brush the lengths straight - which also thins out the ends a little - and blowing thro it.
* LIKE the early Kayfuns (Kayfun Lite and V2s) - wick length is key. It ought be trimmed so it just sits on those ledges/deck immediately above the vertical juice grooves. I achieve that in the same way I do with the kayfuns - gently grasp all that freshly straightened and fluffed up cotton, gently pull it all vertical and thread the chimney over it. I then cut the cotton off level with the top of the chimney.
* Again, fluff the freshly cut ends with a small screwdriver.
* With a small screwdriver. gently fold/poke/push the cotton ends down the chimney into their final resting spot just on top of the deck/juice grooves. NOT INTO but on top of the juice slots. I **gently** push the cotton back sideways against the center deck - away from the chimney wall - so I can just see the juice groove down the side of the chimney.
* Prime the wick and I'd normally test fire at this point.
* Re-assemble the remainder of the tank and fill.
* Vape.
About that air control? Bastard thing in that removable base. Always going out of adjustment even if you managed to get the airflow right. I finally locktighted the adjusting nut into place...
I easily managed highish VG juices, chain vaping at up to 20 watts on a single coil on those Lemos. That silly dual coil nonsense above ^^^^ needed lots more power and I didn't run it for long enough to say how it went.
I never did take to the original Lemo - needed too much coil and power for my style of MTL.
Good luck getting your Lemo going. *fingers crossed*
