Evening each, Sometimes reviews are like buses....so, apologies for two in an evening I understand that VTA are one of the big new things at the moment. Often I have looked at VTA on Chef's and thought "Hmmmm....some interesting looking stuff there" So far I've only tried one and that was Frozen Pineapple Yogurt. I haven't reviewed that one as the review would consist of one word - "Meh". For me, it really was a disappointing something of nothing - a weak pineapple flavour.... However, having seen that VTA now do "ice" flavours, thought they must be worth a bash. Mixed at 80% VG and 1.5mg nic (I only had one nic shot left....) - usual Cleito 0.4ohm but starting with a lower 26.5w. Mixed at 10% concentrate (site says mix as a standalone between 5 & 10%) The first thing that hits is the realism of the pineapple flavour in this one. It's a pungent, deep and a real fruit taste - none of your candy stuff or over sweet stuff here. This is like nipping down to Tesco, buying a "real" pineapple, chopping it up and scoffing it. (good start!) The next thing that hits is the cold....and for me who likes "super cold", it's not cold enough on the inhale but gets slightly stronger on the exhale.(not bad!). Certainly not a Guango or GWE. The third thing that hits (Oh dear....) is the aftertaste. It's almost like a taste of cheap supermarket own brand mint toothpaste (menthol rather than WS-23 or WS-5?)....not overly pleasant with pineapple This concentrate arrived and was mixed yesterday afternoon, so I guess this is preliminary review after a 24 hour steep, albeit we can take it that fruits are usually good for an initial S&V test. Overall? In a bit of a quandary at the moment - elements of good, bad and indifferent so far. Will persevere and see how it develops over the next 2 or 3 days....

A bit disappointing to hear this one. I wish they'd call menthol menthol as i ain't too keen on it myself. I do quite like a bit of cold polar or ws23 though. I suspect them 2 are the same thing but not sure 🤔😊

jtc - I absolutely 101% agree with you To me, "ice" would be a huge dollop of WS-23 &/or WS-5 Can only assume people are cashing in on the "ice" popularity - gotta get rid of those gallons of menthol somehow Tried the PI again tonight....the pineapple is still very good - the cheap toothpaste after taste is just plain nasty now

Got a couple of the VTA's to try and so far they're all crap. Frozen yoghurt tastes of nothing, their strawberry is lacking, the chocolate milk is bleurghhh and their lemon meringue fades within a day and don't start me off on their coconut it's rank. As you can probably guess I'm not as eloquent as you but hopefully I've gotten my point across hahaha

dalealan - You have made me feel 100 times better I'm really disappointed with VTA too. For me, another load of overhyping albeit I happily acknowledge we all have different tastes. Personally, I couldn't helping comparing it to my thoughts on the much raved about Lucky s**t

Exactly ghostrider1971 I had high hopes on these but was left completely underwhelmed. Tried upping the recommended ratios and givin them some steep time but nope they're all bland. Oh well the search continues,

dalealan - Absolutely - the search is the best part I still have VTA Grape ice to mix up, but I'm not sure I want to waste a plastic bottle and good VG on it

I have to confess that you've both made me feel better.
Having bought I guess around 40 of the flavours, so far the ones I've used have been underwhelming . . . . . not remotely strong for my tastes, despite using considerably higher ratios than suggested and which others find flavoursome, otherwise I'd have got nothing at all from them.
That said, the generous sample of Honeycomb Custard which jtc sent me, has really been most enjoyable once I got into the flavour and it not being so ' full on ' as I'd normally like.
Tastes, equipment used, all those factors play a part which I get . . . . I'm not keen on many of the FA range, the selection of Drip Hacks oneshots I've bought and mixed have also largely been disappointing for me.
But like all things you don't know until you try . . . . . which we have, so I'm philosophical - if a little poorer.
