Evening all,
I’m returning to vaping after a couple of years back on the cigarettes. I’m met with something confusing to me on buying juice. I know the law has changed and you can only buy 10ml bottles, but there is a plethora of DIY kits, and make your own now. Is there a tutorial anyone can point me towards to show how much nicotine to add to how much flavour to base etc?
(Is there also an easy, simple way and place to buy?)
Thanks.

Thanks.
I’ve dusted off my old SVD (Though May have just ordered the Smok Mag).
I used to generally get juice from Mrs Lord, or Joosejuice. (I think from looking at the latter they still sell premixed, but in the 10ml bottles. Mrs Lord seems to have stopped!).

I believe that although Mrs Lord did stop, they are selling again www.mrslordspantry.co.uk/ but only shortfills and concentrates.

Wow! that is a huge jump. Okay, you might as well stick with JJ for now until you find the flavours and nicotine level(s) that suit you and your device(s). They (Joosejuice) offer concentrates and DIY supplies so you can try to recreate the juices they sell. Have a look around here: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/board/18/mixology-generalHTH I

I’ve just been looking at the Darkstar Vapour bottleshots which seem fairly simple (not sure if it ends up being pricey though?).
I was wondering, the old pre-mix stuff I’d vape was 18mg nick (a fairly heavy stinky smoker!) but with the suggested mix ratios, it only seems to give ratios to go to 9 or 12 mg nic. Am I missing something, or is it simply just a case of scaling up the number of 10ml mil nic shots?

The max nic shot strength you'll find in the UK is now 20mg though most sell 18mg shots so by the time you've added other ingredients PG, VG, concentrates that reduces the nic strength down by a fair bit that's why the final strengths on the bottleshots is those strengths. There were a couple of places that still sold 72mg nic after the TPD but i'm not sure if there still are i haven't looked to buy any myself for ages as i stocked up loads before the TPD came in, i did a quick search and the only places i could find would only sell 72mg to businesses not to the public. maybe someone else knows where you can get some stronger nic from dunno.

And if you use enough bottle shots to take you to 18mg tonyp . . . . then you run the risk of diluting the flavour down to a level that might not be so enjoyable to you.
There's a few options available:
Nic Salts are now new(ish) on the market, said to give a cleaner, more intense hit than regular freebase nicotine - so you may find a lower strength using those adequate for your nicotine requirements.
Lastly, if you upgraded your equipment to a sub ohm set up now also widely used, you'll find yourself being able to drop your nic strength quite considerably as DTL ( Direct to Lung ) vaping, hits the spot much quicker than MTL ( Mouth to Lung ).

Thanks. I’m going to have to learn some mixology 😂. Those links were helpful thanks. I do have a Smok Mag on its way to me at some point this week (thought I’d treat myself as I was trying to get back onto the vape and away from smokes).

With the number of very acceptable oneshots available, once you've nic base/PG/VG . . . . it's considerably more straightforward than starting from scratch now tonyp .
Need any help, then just shout out:
Nothing like a treat, new equipment for rekindling the interest.

tbh if you can manage dtl then 6mg would give you the kick you looking for on a 0.5 ohm coil the reason i suggest such a high ohm coil by today's standards is it don't kill the batts as quick and you won't use as much juice on a squonk i can use 7ml in 30 mins or less on a 0.2 ohm coil and 3mg juice in a mtl set up 10ml of juice can last me a week so it might be worth buying some strong stuff for mtl and playing with the sub ohm setup for fun, it's what i do to me mouth to lung is the only way your likely to get the nic hit your used to without coffin yer lungs up until you get used to vaping again i dont sub ohm and big cloud bro for the nic i do it for the fun and flavour and it took me a bit to get used to it
hope that helps

Welcome back tonyp I'm still mainly using Joose-Juice e-liquids - such good prices & customer service.
