There is definitely a place for devices like that, they are about as hassle free/idiot proof as vaping will ever be, but we really aren't the target audience! Too true. Actually, they should be pleased I think they are a bunch of no-good, shyster company charlatans with a penchant for marketing of the male cow poo variety. The more I wish something is not true, the more often it becomes true. I am sure they will prosper. It'll be up to us old hands to send folk in the right direction.... well those that get off their backsides and actually research vaping a bit more than buying some tobacco company tat from Morrisons or Tesco. ..like the last 5 years then... Millennials/Gen Z HATE faf! Google/Bing searches? too may results to filter...Just join some forum and ask. No research/time/effort needed. They want it to work. PERIOD, and the popularity of 1000GBP+ phones (Looking at you APPLE) just demonstrates that price and value are completely subjective. Cheers I

The Juul will have a place in the starter kit area of the market but from what i have seen it is a bit on the pricey side supposedly looking at £30 for the initial (1 device and 3-4 pods) for the starter kitwhich for me will mean that they will not do too well. When a first time user see how much it is costing them compared to tobacco cigarettes they might not last long on them. Advanced users will not even look at it twice imo. Propitiatory charger port isn't exactly great for a device with a tiny battery so charging on the go will be a faf. The TPD limiting them to 18mg will also hinder them as they are usually much higher in the states from what i have seen. US market is 58-59mg, UK ones wll be limited to 20mgAs Perpetua stated above i have also been trying out JacVapors VIM and it will be head and shoulders above the Jull for being a starter kit. Probably much cheaper too. Some info above.... Cheers. I was a bit off on my estimations on the price of it. I though it was nearer £50 but thanks for clearing it up for me.

Pretty sad really. £600 per year on a phone. £625 on coffee. £2,000 on Juul. £249.99 per month to drive a 'white goods' driving machine. £1000 on subscription music/tv ...and then moan you can't get a mortgage...or your credit card is out of control... It's a form of slavery in a way. Slaves to fashion and selfishness.

I had never heard of these devices before I read this thread and I can't say it's peaked my interest in the slightest now I do know about it

I had never heard of these devices before I read this thread and I can't say it's peaked my interest in the slightest now I do know about it The thing is... I am sure I'd enjoy vaping a 50mg cig-a-like/pod thing with the right attributes. It's probably amazing... just it's like deciding to be tied to the nasty wheel of endless purchasing all over again. I did that for 2 months in 2013 and have felt it was wrong ever since. The most tied in to anything I am is my printer ink. It costs £15 every 6 months. Clone cartridges. Now, if you could get really cheap Juul pods from China and 50mg was legal in the UK, maybe I'd be looking into it.

I do not think it will attract experienced vapers except for the curiosity value but it might attract some current smokers. However, with the reduced strength it may not satisfy them. I think it is overpriced for what it is and there are better pod systems on the market. I was very surprised when I first heard it had a 70% share of the US market. That seems incredible.

That'll be 70% of the supermarket/convenience store type market i.e. like the cig-a-likes are/were, not vape shops, online retailers or mail order from outside the US, which I suggest in total will be bigger than the supermarket/convenience store type market...

Hey 👋 it's been a while, and I know this is an old post aaaaand..... I'm still vaping my eleaf stick mtl having been through all of the different stages of vape from a cheap sticks through rebuilds and mechs right back to my old faithful. However I was keen to find out thoughts on this particular form of vaping. In my opinion it is an extremely expensive way to vape with such wasteful throw away single use pods, but I was enchanted by the stealthy and sleek look of some of these devices. Alas...it seems my fears were true...they have a place with new to vaping vapers....and not someone as thrifty as me. However, having said that...are there any decent refillable ones on the market that anyone can recommend me try...it's for my "going out out " vape cheers 👋

Funny this got bumped, just last week i was chatting to a couple of guys who have tried many different mods and tanks and had all about given up on vaping as hey couldn't get on with any of them but they both bought a Juul and both said it's the best thing they've ever had and has kept them on the vape journey. They said it was the closest thing to actually smoking and were happy as can be with it....

You can get a 3ml tank from our friends in the East. I actually have two of those living in the car after a panic attack when I was waiting for the one that has to be obeyed at the hair dresser and had nothing to vape with me.

Red berries, menthol and eucalyptus.... less 'boring' and maybe worth a try/treat! * Available as a one shot concentrate if you mix, or directly as an e-liquid.
