Des & I nipped out to get a takeaway and there was this chappie with some ' rescue ' owls collecting for the charity. . . that beautiful birdy is an Eagle Owl, absolutely huge!

Very much alive Beepsie, but so beautifully behaved, you would have thought he/she were a statue . . .

There's an owl rescue centre here in Folkestone and they are always in town with the birds collecting money. They usually have half a dozen with them, from little to those bigguns. The centre itself is in someone's garden - hell of a commitment.

I can't recommend the experience highly enough Kirsty, it's lovely chatting to everyone on the internet, but even more special meeting everyone and chatting face to face . . . my goodness we've sampled some flavours today!
