I've already beaten my record for trying to give up the fags by a long long way since I started vaping so the signs are good that I won't start again

Have you seen the prices of cigs these days! I would never go back and don't feel the need to
I spend a fair bit on vape gear but I think I am still....

The next time you see me smoking, I will be half-way up the Crematorium Chimney.
Ofcourse, by then the Village Vapers will be queuing outside my shed door, looking for some hand-outs.

Have you seen the prices of cigs these days! Yeah. I just looked it up yesterday. $235 Oz for a carton of 200 Winfield Blue (a very common brand here). About 134 UK pounds according to google. AND we've yet another 12% "sin tax" rise scheduled next month.

If my fortunes change and I'm ever in the position to afford 5-6 decent sized Cohiba a day, I could totally see myself as a cigar smoker.
Luckily for my health that'll never be the case unless I win the lottery!

I still have thoughts of cigs, but the reality is I can't smoke them anymore, it tastes disgusting

I'm done forever. By the time I'm 70 or 80 I'll be needing the money not spending £40 on 20 fags. Not to mention this lovely nugget 68! phew! Nov 69 im safe. Since we know most people will be 'persuaded' to retire from their jobs at 61/62 you are lucky to get it one year earlier than me. That makes you £8,000 up by virtue of being born 6 months earlier. I have realised my wife will get hers though so shouldn't grumble. Two people born after April 1970 are £16,000 worse off than two born at the end of 1969. Difficult and distinctly unfair for some poor buggers.

£9.50 for gv now in Belgium, last time I bought gv over there in 2011 it was around £4.50. There are always triggers, big one would be the death of my wife (she is 16 years older than me but never really smoked, apart from a few joints way back) or one of my children. I'd be more likely to hammer the booze though, cant stand the taste of fags now.

I took early retirement 17 years ago. It is a pret6ty poor pension as the money goes, but it is liveable, just. 6 years ago I changed to Vaping and this added £6000 to my yearly pension.
I have already gone down the road of fancy new Mods, Flavours, etc and all my savings now go on making our lives more comfortable and interesting.
For years we could never afford the luxuries that others seemed to save yearly for. These days we have our new cars, our comfortable housing, our "blooming" gardens and some money in the bank. This was kicked off by changing to Vaping and with it a change in our perception of what was important to us. Like, good foods, nice clothes, decent furniture, pleasant surroundings and having everything that we need although not everything we want.
Sometimes a change of one aspect of your life, leads to many changes and opinions in other parts as well. Hopefully all to the good.

Smoking is in my Genes, I love smoking and I could go back tomorrow. I won't though as vaping goes a long way to curbing that desire. However, if I went to the docs tomorrow and he said 'sorry Chris you only have 6 months to live', the first thing I'd do is go around to the local shop and buy some Golden Virgina and some ciggy papers.

I still can hardly believe that my answer is never! I truly didn't think I would ever be able to give up smoking - until I bought my first e-cig 10 years ago.

I have a fag 1-3 times a year just so I can look it in the eye and tell it it has lost all the power it used to have over me.
