Still Vaping and steam cleaning

Well not been here for a while but still vaping away, not had a nastie at all - even when out with a friend who smokes like the proverbial chimney so very pleased with myself as not tempted at all. Still do get odd days when I want a nasty but just vape away on my Riva.

Have actually worn out one battery and second on it way out so bought some more to keep me going and more E-liquid all just this week as not had bought any supplies since February and although my favourite Whisky Cream was nearly gone, I still have quite a few other flavours around, but now well stocked up on Whisky Cream and Vanilla Tabac another favourite. can vape them all day and night.

Jason informed me I had done well with my one and only Echomiser as been using it almost constantly since February, ok have used cartomisers as well, but he said usually they only last a few weeks, so only thing I can put it down to is me steam cleaning it. I do this every couple of weeks and it brings it up like new, also do it with the cartomisors. So now have bought a few more Echomisers but no more cartomisers as what I bought are still good ( I have about 15), don't think I have had to throw any away yet. I wouldn't say I was a particularly light vaper either ok some days don't vape much but most its almost glued to mouth.

So I would say get a steamer - the one I had was broken so managed to pick up another for £14 ( penguin style that has a nozzle that fits right inside cartomiser) and if this is what is keeping my Echomiser and cartomisers in good working order then I know I have made my money back already.

It was mentioned on here a while back and there is a you tube video on how to use it but basically hold cartomiser or whatever with pliers over a sink as lots of gunk comes out and put steamer nozzle into it and steam away until no more gunk comes out and its back to looking brand new again and then leave to dry 24/48 hrs.

I cannot see me every going back to nasties again, not unless they ban e-cigs, for ages I just felt like a smoker who was not smoking but no more now I feel like a non smoker and I look at my friend smoking and cannot believe I ever did that, its already as if it happened to someone else, or in another life, not bad considering not quite 4 months. I just hope that happens.

Unfortunately I cannot say I have noticed any benefits not smoking, but then I do have a chronic health condition so that is most likely masking any improvement but don't have the morning cough. Gums and teeth unfortunately are giving me great problems since giving up - dentist now says as they were without oxygen and blood properly for so long that now they are receiving correct amount my gums are pushing my teeth out - had to have a tooth removed last week and have two others that are loosening. I know though if this is happening now most likely I would have had mouth cancer or some such horror if I had continued to smoke and so far its only far back teeth that are affected so not quite got a gummy grin yet.

Sorry to her about your tooth and gum probs tho From what i've read the damage is done by being a smoker and when you stop the damage starts to show up hopefully things will settle down for you!

Gutted to hear about you cleaning cartos with a steam cleaner, I had one of those but gave it away ages ago

I was just thinking about you yesterday Prepare glad your doing well (apart from the teeth but sounds like you have right attitude about it )

Are you sure about those health benefits tho? Do you still cough when you laugh? The health benefits crept up on me as I was quite healthy before (or so I thought )

lol, how did you think you could clean a carto with a wallpaper stripper? Surely you would have needed some kind of adapter

I'm glad you mentioned the Penguin steamer as I have one of those and will give it a try. I also have a very powerful Polti Vaporetto but that would blow the cartos into the middle of next week!

When i bought it i stupidly thought I could just blast the dirt away and it would sort of disappear. I was so disappointed when I realised i still needed to get a cloth and rub at the dirt, so I sort of went in the huff at it

My teeth too have gone loose thre have to come out hopefully this thursday i had an inkling it might be stopping smoking unfortunately i will have a bit of a gummy so to speak for a month anyway will definately ask the questions to the dentist on thursday.
Unfortunately i am a terrible and have to have a general to have anything done so i have had to wait not looking forwqard at all.
well done for stick through it and the steam cleaner looks like a good investment for a tight wad like me
