Thanks for the heads up on the Minifit djs . I am off travelling soon and wanted something easy to carry, so thought I'd try it. It's not bad at all for a device this size, and (to my delight!) I found it's possible to make your own coils for it, see the video below - it looks simple so I will be trying this soon! (the recoil starts at around 5.30 mins)

Like I've been saying for...zzz... 4-5 years or something. If you can make it yourself... why get Mythical creatures from Scotland to do it? Nothing against the Scots, just a little against a certain company that seemed to rule over UKVapers for a while with their interminable marketing and forum 'bending'.

I can do that.... on my head after 5 pints. OK.. 3 pints..

Sorry mate, I don't have a clue what your talking about unless it refers to the panty hamster from TW. The first video shows a spaced coil option and the NV video features a contact coil. Different options is all. I tend to mute videos and just watch the pretty pictures. Cheers I

I reckon these are what the Naturevape bunch use for their coils, pinched so they are micro. I reckon doing the dry burning thing would only really work if the coil was not very gunked up in the first place. 😊

It does reveal the Naturevape thing to be a bit redundant as the housing is identical to a stock coil. I've seen atomisers that are actually designed to be rebuilt with more inconvenient systems - they even put those little slots in so you can get the outer case off! I am going to look through my wires tomorrow to see if I've got anything that will get me to 1.6 -1.8ohms at 2mm without making a coil too big for the chimney cover.

Thanks, phtumshk, I thought I was missing out on some new gear there! My ignorance of web abbreviations is only slowly improving, for ages I thought that PITA was a reference to Greek bread... I think I have some Kanthal 30awg in the depths of my vaping draw, which is .255mm, so this would probably do it, though if the recoiling goes well I will probably get some thinner Stainless Steel than I currently have - I prefer it to Kanthal.

izan, djs, phtumshk, When I tried this it came apart fine but when recoiling it I found I just could not see well enough to get the wire into the very tiny holes for it in the bottom of chamber - because I could not even see them! I got one in by feel but the other just would not go. I am getting some new glasses soon and that might might help - but the holes are difficult to see because the whole thing is transparent, so it may not. Also, using a thinner SS wire (32awg) means the legs bend with hardly any pressure. Had a look to see how he did it on the video and there is a convenient cut at this point - it just goes straight to the coils being in - he was using thicker wire but I wonder if he struggled and did not want to let on...
