How do we all dispose of old lithium batteries ? The local Sainsbury's has a bin for recycling batteries. Other super markets may do the same?

Yes we do at Waitrose . . . . I've also seen ' battery bins ' in Lidl's and The Pound Shop.
I shop at a diverse range of establishments!

Thanks I don't go into supermarkets much, but will look out for the battery bins. But is it safe to mix lithium batteries in with other metal objects - is there not a danger of short circuit and potential fire.

I can't speak for others, but the recycling company we use supply us with a special drum to house old batteries . . . . and we're only allowed to store so many at any one time before contacting them to arrange collection.
