Good thinking Gordy . . . and yes the tanks are US on it, just don't wick quickly enough, but it's a nice dripper and so very easy to coil with the terminal positioning. A mesh jobbie is my next project as the included pieces are cut to size, which for me is great as I'd probably have tried to use a great huge bit. Oxidize, roll up and use the res wire in the normal way is it Gordy, Macca?

It's roll up, oxidize 3 times, put PG on it and set it alight 3 times and you're done..

Yes, you are just replacing the silica wick with SS.. Then you wrap the coil over it.
The oxidization is to make the SS non conducting and the PG treatment makes it wick better..You can wash the wick when it gets gunked up and reuse it several times..

Scotts vids have been a huge help with doing the coils. I bought a Genesis mini and that already had the mesh wick and coil on it. So next task is to make my own for that. The one I bought had a nice Caramel flavour already on it and I've been really enjoying that mixing with the TW Titan RY4, so I've kept using it

Looking at the piccys you could also make other wick configurations to use with the tanks..
I presume you are not using the tank piercing bit whilst dripping..

its actually easier than that ....you dont need to bother with the water quenching any more
you can get away with just rolling up say a 20mm piece of mesh ...popping it on a paperclip and then just run your torch over it making it glow red ... backwards and forwards for 30 seconds or so... just making sure you rotate the mesh so you get every bit of it
then wrap your wire around it (which is easy as the mesh is a nice tube shape rather than a limp fibre wick)...roll the coil around between your fingers to make sure they're nice and snug on the mesh tube
wire to the contact points.... and fire it up... the mesh shouldnt have any areas that glow...well not until the wire starts to glow and warm the mesh up too.
pre wet the mesh ...assemble and away you go

It's Aluminum Steve . . . SS would have been good, but for £24 it was a big ask. Your mesh wick sounds nice. The tank piercing bit is still in place Macca, it's soldered on as opposed to being a separate unit as with the Bulli, again I suppose for the money it's a cheaper manufacturing process. But it doesn't sit on a solid bit of metal, so there are holes either side of the spike thing for the juice to go when you drip.

Yep..
Or one regular and one inserted into the piercing nozzle going into the tank..So remove the piece and it's a SS dripper and put it on, it's a ego-t/c type tank for out and about.

apparently thats not required either
the 'soot' could help with wicking but should build up naturally ....any that is on the mesh in a tank like yours will just come off any hows and discolour the juice
