The tank piercing bit is still in place Macca, it's soldered on as opposed to being a separate unit as with the Bulli, again I suppose for the money it's a cheaper manufacturing process. But it doesn't sit on a solid bit of metal, so there are holes either side of the spike thing for the juice to go when you drip. I think I did not explain it very well..Looking at it you could remove that entire piece and just screw in the mouthpiece bit with a type-b driptip.. Then you have a huge hole with the wick and coil fully exposed..

Yep.. Or one regular and one inserted into the piercing nozzle going into the tank..So remove the piece and it's a SS dripper and put it on, it's a ego-t/c type tank for out and about. as its gravity fed as long as there is a nice tube it will wick down and almost drip out the bottom onto the other wick

Yes, just needs to be heated to red heat..Gas hob would be better..I normally do mine over the kicthen sink with a pencil torch and water running from the tap.. Just like being near a source of water when I set things on fire..

I tried that very thing at first, but there are no air holes in the top section so you can't draw on it at all . . . I may ask my neighbour to drill a wee hole in it for me.

So can someone explain in idiot talk how these work Are they just for dripping, or is there another use? It's basically a recoilable ego-C tank womble.. You can also use it to drip..

if you do way with the mid section it will make the atty chamber smaller and vape more intense.... if you do drill a hole in the top section dont make it too big and align it up with the front of the coil

Erm.... sorry to be an idiot, but what's an ego-C tank? There doesn't seem to be a tank unit with what perps bought? Is the same as the clockworks thingy? I like the idea and many people have enthused about it, but I don't understand it at all.

This is a ego-t/c tank womble.. This is how a EGO-c goes together: You cannot easily rebuild the coil in the above. Now compare it with Perpetua's first picture:

the juice then travels from the tank down the spikey tube in the mid section onto the coil
if you replace the mid section and tank with a drip tip you can simply use it as a direct dripper

When you use it in tank mode the tank end is the mouthpiece..
If you remove the tank you can fit a Ego-Type B drip tip to it..Or a type-A DT if you bought the option with the wider mouth..
