hehe ^^^^ Serious question about the summer vs normal times thing - what ever you may call it over there. Here, some states move the clock forward one hour at the start of summer so evening is light later. They call it Day Light Savings. Again, at the end of summer, clocks are set back. Here, some states do it while some do not. My state, Western Australia, does not do it. And, in my state - not so sure about others - there are frequent arguments about the merits of the summer clock change and there's often some group or other re-raising the issue in the press - both for and against. How about over there? Is the subject and act of "Summer Time" generally accepted well or does it cause some argument between the sides? NOTE: I'm not trying to start a fight about it, I'm just asking what the story is over there.

^ They keep it because it kills some of the elderly. You know, those who dare to make it well into pension age when they were supposed to kick the proverbial shortly after retiring. There's enough evidence out there that summer saving time doesn't save anything but its all about control

Who has a manual clock these days? The only one I have is on the car, and I don't touch it or look at it

Several, in fact. All wall clocks and bedside alarm clocks in the house are manual (electric, plug in or battery, but manually set).
I do not wear a wrist watch and I do not carry a mobile (*). My car's clock is manually set.
I'm likely in the minority though. But I can't be the only one.
* I do own a mobile. An oldie that can make and receive calls. For emergencies. Bought so it could fit in the bike's seat pocket. NOT smart in anyway. Certainly no internet stuff.

You're not Dave!
I've only embraced certain aspects of the digital/technical age . . . . which doesn't include ditching my wrist watch, clocks which also include my trusty battery run alarm clock * shock! horror!! * and I still have a calendar.
While my mobile has all sorts of apps installed on it ( not by me! ) basically I use it for making phone calls or sending texts, although I'll confess to using it to vote for trailer trash TV programmes.
I'm kinda with bioxx in wishing that our twice yearly clock change was abandoned as for me personally I can't see that it's to anyone's great advantage, although it must benefit some? The night shift at work hate it as they have to work an extra hour . . . . although they gain of course when the clocks go forward.

Hmm. I have a digital watch, one of those retro nerdy ones haha- even if I could actually find the instructions, it would still take half an hour or so to adjust the time, going through all the button presses in the right order.. (includes time spent finding the magnifying glass to read the ridiculously tiny writing on the instructions)
