I think it's a nice vape device for home but I agree would raise suspicion out and about

Yeah the two cents is a good safety device..It couldn't have been more inappropriately named though given it costs upwards of a tenner.A hot spring or a properly rated glass fuse will do the job just as effectively.
The rule is simple..Use good quality protected batteries for unprotected mods and use IMR's in mods with electronic protection built in and try not to stack unless you know what you are doing to minimize risk.

I agree with the comments about safety, particularly if you are going to sell it to someone. I am making some mods, and I am not venturing into the home design area for the safety yet untill I am sure that things are as they should be. It is one thing for personal home use, it is a completely different story when it comes to passing it on be it free or for sale. My mods will be incorporating the safety devices from per established manufacturers for now, and I am even in contact with the main ones in china which at the moment is proving too costly for the big mods i have in mind.
Do not be put off though, everyones comments on here are only put to help you out, to help you build something that you can be proud of when seeing someone else vape it and is extreemly happy with it. Keep asking questions, seeking peoples oppinions, show and tell, mod your mods, because when it comes down to selling something it is the buyers that rule, and we are all of those on here.

Macca is 100% correct - the 2c safety is a great idea but to be honest the onus on that would be for the person using the mod to buy one if they wish to use an unprotected type battery in an unprotected type mod and to take their own safety into account - There are PCB's available to protect a li-ion battery in circuit but to be honest adding it to some mods just isn't do-able because then you would have to make one mod for those that want protection inside the mod and one for those that have unprotected batteries as it would add extra length meaning a protected battery would have a hard time fitting in with it - Might also be worth noting that although it does require soldering into place it's a fair bit cheaper than a 2c www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-pcs-PCB-3-7V-16340-18650-Li-ion-Lipo-Battery-Pack-/150806941202?pt=UK_Sound_Vision_Other&hash=item231ccb4e12

Hi Roachie, long time no see (partly cos I'm more noticeable by my absence these days!). Glad you are back in circulation. If I (heaven forfend ) took to modding, I would do an electronics course and get loads of practice and do loads of trials before I let them loose on the public. It's a hazardous business, you've only got to look at the e-cigs made by professionals catching fire (I've had one or two) or even exploding Most of our modders are familiar with electronics and gadgetry already, you're starting from scratch so it will be quite a learning curve. It's all very well following a diagram, but I think you need understanding, too. I haven't seen your photo but it sounds very interesting! Am so glad to see that you are as enthusiastic as ever
