What do you think about the advice to change your coil after 2 weeks? In god knows how many years, I've never done this.
i change wicking when the flavour drops off but just dry burn the coil, and change it when I feel like it.
But I only vape around 12 watts.
Most of this "advice" comes from sites that sell wire.

Let my taste buds make the decision . . . once I get that quite obvious ' harshness ' then it's time for a change, no matter how long I've been using a coil.
I don't use any one set up exclusively so it's not an X number of days calculation and some coils just last longer than others I find whatever eliquid or wattage I'm using .

Much the same.I use 3 mods, one just for rambling as it's light. But my coils last months. My taste buds might be shot though after years of smoking.

There was talk....a long time ago, that dry burning or dry burning too hot could release metal particles and oxides from the coil. Some of these might not be particularly good for you. This might be the reason that you have heard that it is best (in an ideal world) to change coils, rather than hot dry burn. Unfortunately.... I just dry burn my coil and rewick.
