ok so from previous mistakes ive learnt leaving nic in direct sunlight does dramatically oxidise it and reduce the content how ever i was just wonder if the same was true of concentrates.
last weekend i finally got it with diy-ing.....but since using the same method my juice is almost flavourless and thought leaving my flavours out might be the reasoning?

I wouldnt have thought that leaving flavours out would cause the flavor to go. They do have a shelf life of about 18mths, but even so a flavour may change over time somewhat, but not go.
Is it possible the flavour had settled in the bottle, maybe needed a shake, perhaps you just got PG or whatever diluent it was mixed with?

I have read that if you are using f'art flavourings that they are quite mild and need to have a lot more in than they recomend

I keep my flavourings in the fridge King, although it's not essential . . . a cool dark place is sufficient.
If you've had the flavours a while and they're in plastic bottles, then the flavour can leech into the plastic, as it can with juice.
But that would be over a period of time . . . what percentages are you mixing at if your juice appears flavourless and do you let it steep at all?
