With the Riva 1100, it says to charge them initially for 8 hours...........to charge after that, am I right in saying 2-3 hours should suffice?

Aye Chris. The charger should tell you when they're done. They don't take long so long as you have one available to use. If they're both out of charge then it'll feel like forever

It depends on how much you have run them down..
But 3-4 hours should charge any fully run down battery easily..

Li-ions have no memory effect. When you've charged them and the charger/battery light turns off - that's it charged and leaving it on longer will do nothing more. The initial 8 hours thing is wrong as they come with a factory charge and again, it is not needed to charge them so long as they have no memory effect.

I think when the light changes from red to green it's charged, as is the norm, but the light remains on as far as I'm aware

Depends on the charger electronics.. Some older chargers do turn the led off when charged..

Hi chrisi have the riva 1100 brothers poss cousins of your twins. When it stops vaping well I put it on charge. Red light shows. It takes about 2-3 hours and when the green light comes on they're done #icon_thumbsup#
