ACTV3 Problem (or i'm being dumb)

I've got a Lavatubve v2 and a couple of ACTV3 tanks and some boge carts (regular) I cannot get the setup to work the carts just dont fire up when in the ACTV3 tank. I have tested the carts by plugging them directly into the lavatube and they fire.
Do I need a special connection ?
Does it sound like they are knackered ?
Any help advice or suggestions most greatfully recieved !

Try a thinner O-ring on the bottom of the carto thread, sounds like contact isn't being made.

I'm not familiar with your tank but I have a couple of home modded tanks which work better on the LT with a 510 to 510 adapter

Looks like the center pins are not making contact. So one of two things:

1. Center pin on tank 510 adapter not making contact with LT.. Then pull it out slightly with a pair of nose pliers.

2. Center pin of carto not making contact with 510 tank adapter. Push the center pin on the tank adapter a touch. You can also test for condition 2 by removing the O ring around the carto threads and screwing it in direct to the adaptor. It's probably the thickness of the O ring that's causing the issue..

Should be 7mm x1 or 1.5 may work..Those supplied look like they are 7 x 2mm thick....

Just take the adapter and the carto in to your local plumbing supplies shop with your battery and they'll probably give you one for free or sell you some..Try some sizes out there and find one that fits and ask them if it's nitrile which it most probably is..If you buy online, the postage will probably be two to three times the cost of a pack of 5 o-rings, unless you want to buy 50 of them..

Or try Halfords or B&Q.

Or if you have a carto condom handy then simply cut an 0-ring out of it. The well on the LT is quite deep and the V3s adapter needs to be pushed out further to make contact, this is achieved by using a thinner o-ring at the base of the carto. The Improvised o-ring will still provide a good seal.

im thinking this maybe the problem im having but it is intermittent and the slightest light suck cures mine, but it is getting irritating now.
how would i get the condom slice to fit on the thread of the carto?.
