www.vapeescape.co.uk/boge-510-low-resistance-%285%29~146www.vapeescape.co.uk/basket-view.asp?tempatb=1&opt=1&atb=1&id=163&variation=901+to+510Hi everyone I orderd the above adapter and cartos from Vape escape for my Vigo automatic 650 but when I attatched them the battery just goes dead like there is no charge? Now if I attatch the adapter only and suck, the blue light comes on but once I add the carto- nothing happens. I know they are full because they fit one of my elites and the vape and throat hit is fantastic. Funny thing is the cartos don't fit all my elite batteries just one of them- wierd. Please can you suggest anything. I was really dissapointed as it is my first stab at playing and it went wrong :-[

Mmm not sure, I have had uncompatable adapters (if that makes sense) 2 801's that have never worked and a 510 that wouldn't on a few devices, thats the only thing I can think of, maybe orhers will have a better idea.

Probably too much current draw for the battery and it's safety ciruit is kicking in to prevent damage to the battery..
Have you got a 510 SR cart/atty to test?

OK, so you are using an 808/901 to 510 adapter on your VGO?
Macca, I may be very wrong ,& please tell me if I am, but would have thought the VGo battery could cope with the draw as it has a similar capacity to an eGo/Riva?

Are you sure that the cartos fit the adapter & battery?
Those elites batteries are kind of weird, wasnt sure that its been established that any adapters work to 501 with them, hmm I think there was an older thread about it. ???

Outnumbered SR stands for Standard resistance & I think Macca meant a carto (cartomiser). It does sound to me like the problem is with your 901/808 to 510 adapter not working on your VGO, not sure how to solve the issue & feel a bit bad that I suggested you got an adapter

I will email the seller before I buy another, maybe he can suggest something. Thanks for all your help

Macca, I may be very wrong ,& please tell me if I am, but would have thought the VGo battery could cope with the draw as it has a similar capacity to an eGo/Riva? Yes, same battery, just a different atty connector ie 901...VGO is unregulated like the RIVA if I remember correctly, so a freshly charged battery will try to maintain 4.2 volts at the connector. A 2 ohm carto (may even be less for LR) will demand a 2.1 amp current draw, something the VGO safety circuitry may not like. If the center pin is not making contact, the blue light should still come on when the autoflow sensor is activated. If I understand what the OP is saying, the blue light comes on when the adapter is attached, but not when a cart is put on the adapter. If the blue light does not come on when the cart is attached, ie., battery does not activate under load, then it's probably circuitry restricting to supply the load. If the blue light does come on with the cart attached, it is probably the adapter center pin not making contact. That's why I also asked if she had a SR 510 carto to test both current limitation and adapter connection.

Great post Maccafan. I still need to study voltage etc but I understand what you are saying- a little. You are correct about the adapter, carto connection, however to confuse things even more, I now sometimes get a vap, with the adapter and carto connected and then it goes completely dead, but yes the blue light always comes on with just the adapter fitted. I am going to make a seperate thread about sr, lr, voltage etc just so I can understand it better. When I connect these to the elite, they nearly blow my head off lol They are fantastic, I just wish it was the same on my Vigo Thanks aagain for taking the time to help me

Here is the reply I got from the website. Does this mean that I can only use Vigo compatibable cartos etc. Not really sure I understand what they mean?
It sounds like the Vigo has a cut out, similar to the Echo batteries. But, I don't stock them so couldn't say for sure. Cartomiser threads can vary slightly and it's not uncommon to have them work well with a battery from one manufacturer and not with another. The only batteries that I've never had a compatibility problem with is eGo-T batteries, which is what the Vision Ego cartomisers are made for. Sorry I can't be of more help, but if you want anything tested, just pop it back to us. Jason

I'm not sure Outnumbered as I've never used a VGO.
Jason from Vape Escape, that you bought your adapter from, is smashing, & I know he would have helped more if he could have done. But as he says, he doesn't sell the VGO.
Wonder if Jac Vapour that you bought the VGO from, could help you more? However, as they don't seem to sell anything with a 510 fitting (the most widely used used threading), they may not be able to do so.
