I hadn't seen your post here Outnumbered, sorry.
The VGO is basically the Echo 901, but we stopped selling them quite some time ago, so I don't think we will have any left. But, I will check tomorrow and if we have I'll give them a try with an adapter and Vision.

Just noticed, any reason you are trying it with a vision? As that is not the ones I bought??

I'm not sure Outnumbered as I've never used a VGO. Jason from Vape Escape, that you bought your adapter from, is smashing, & I know he would have helped more if he could have done. But as he says, he doesn't sell the VGO. Wonder if Jac Vapour that you bought the VGO from, could help you more? However, as they don't seem to sell anything with a 510 fitting (the most widely used used threading), they may not be able to do so. Thanks Chrissie, yes Jacvapour is trying to help. Hopefully I will get it sorted so at least I know what or what not to buy in future. One thing is for sure, my backup will be a 510. No problems with the Vgo itself, but it would be easier to have more options

The problem is it’s a 901 you have, the adapter you need is a KR808D-1 battery -> 510 cart adapter you have a 901 -> 510. The 901 adapter does not have the right airflow, the Kr808 is the same thread but it will have a turreted base on the 901 thread to allow air in to the 2 small holes just under the thread on the KR808D-1 male connection. Do you have any of our carts, take a look at the bottom of the cart the bottom of the cart has small cut-outs (turrets) that let air in to the device, the 901 connector will be flat with no turrets. Chrissie, their customer service is very good. I just got this from him. All of this on a Saturday night. So it looks like I can get an adapter

I have never seen a dedicated 808-->510 or a 901-->510 adapter..Normally they are doubled up in function and are 901/808-510 adapters and they all have the airflow slots required to make both the 901 and 808 battery function.
If your adapter was the wrong version and is impeding airflow on the battery side, the battery should not fire when you just fit the adapter and suck. But it does if I understand correctly.. And he is advising you to use a 808-->510 adapter on a 901 connector? ???
Can you please post a couple of close pictures of the adapter you have from the top and from the side?

Macca is right, at one time, when 808 cartos first came out & we were all mainly using 901 devices. (901 atomisers have an air vent in the atomiser itself, so their was no need for any slotted threads. so back then we had to do a "staple fix" to create airflow, until slotted adapters came along. We then move on to 510's becoming the most popular thread, so 901 to 510 slotted adapters became widely available & that's what you should have Outnumbered

I hope this isn't putting you off vaping Outnumbered. It can be so frustrating when things will not work. When things do work though, vaping is fab and so much healthier than smoking. those batteries that macca linked to are super for the price but I think you would need another charger with a 510 fitting, these are usually less than £5! It may be worth going back to where you were recommended this kit and highlighting the incompatibility issues incase other newbies read your thread. I knew there was a reason these kits were not recommended here, but I couldn't remember the reason, sorry

Outnumbered, whereabouts are you? I'm just wondering if there is another member close to you that can try to help?
I agree with Karma, it might be best to go back to UKV (as I believe it was members on there that recommended the VGO to you) & ask them what adapters they use with it.

I contacted Andy at JAC Vapour about the same issue, he said the following: "We have currently not been able to track down a manufacturer of the adapters for the other way [VGO > 510], I have not found 1 company that even sells them UK or US, but we are looking." I have 3 different batteries: Echo Auto (1300mah), VGO Auto (650mah) and the V3 (which apparently is a Kanger) all have pure 808D-1 threads and fit standard 808 carts / chargers. So it would appear from the above and from reading this thread that really all we need is a pure 808D-1 to 510 adapter (i.e. not a 901/808D-1 to 510/EGO) to get 510 SR Carts to work. Do you think based on what's been said on this thread that this is in fact what we're after: www.evcigarettes.com/thread-adapter-808d-1-to-510/If so I'll point JAC Vapour to it since he's had "trouble" finding one here or in the US. I.
