You want to hand carve a plated brass tube?
Out of genuine interest, how would you go about doing that?

nope a stainless steel tube (havent seen a ggts closeby) if thet call it stainless steel, i hope it isnt plated.
some of my relatives in Bali have been carving silver and other metals for generations, if i would do it, it would look like a Kandinsky, not a nice floral pattern or something.

Interesting. There is a stainless version but most of the GGTS's are nickel plated aluminum and brass I think.. SS is a poor conductor of electricity when compared to brass and ally with nickel plating.. That aside, you can get SS tubes on fleabay quite cheap if you want to practice and show us if you want.. Like this or other items from that seller: Clicky

dont get me wrong, i dont want to start somekind of moddingbussines, i was just wondering there are so many mods around, and i havent seen anything but clean ggts, if the tube is to thin, it could be replaced by silversteel. if i ever get one, and i want it changed, i'll make a blog...... but first i need to wait until the new ones come out, and with my usual luck, i'll be without internet on that moment.

Interesting. There is a stainless version but most of the GGTS's are nickel plated aluminum and brass I think.. Judging by the serial numbers, SS GGTSes outnumber the ally and nickel ones by quite a chunk these days. And the next batch will absolutely seal that.

With SS being a poor conductor relative to ally and brass I thought it might have been the other way round..I also read this and inferred what I wrote from that: www.ggecig.com/gg-model-range/ggts/#

SS is normally reffered to when talking about Stainless Steel. Silver steel is a whole different metal and is quite a good conductor electrically
