I bought a knitting pattern from ebay that came today. Anyone that's bought a knitting pattern knows it's a little booklet with a picture on the front of the finished article with the instructions inside.
This one was just a print out on an A4 piece of paper which made me suspicious.
So I trawled the net and found it, free of charge and copyright to another person. >
The seller has just printed them off and is selling the patterns like hotcakes. She's changed the name of the pattern's designer to her own and printed it on the paper. The cheek of some people.

Check out the description on ebay, it might be that they are breaking their rules. If they ae, send a message to eBay and to the person who's design it is and get them in trouble. fakers should be stoped

I have sent an email to ebay, but it only gave an option if someone's taken your own copyright material, not someone else's. I've also contacted the website of the woman who creates the patterns. What makes me especially sick is it's a site for the research of epilepsy.

Anne, sadly nothing suprises me these days, some people will do anything to get a few bob. As you say, the cheek of it is really annoying, and I bet they are waiting for positive feedback, really is annoying.

What, contact them, they may not be aware that its going on and will put people off giving for research

Reporting someone on ebay is a trauma in itself , having to select the categorie for the report etc , I found you have to go through every single categorie to find the correct sub categorie , to get to the next sub , sub categorie ........... blah blah blah

Someone was doing that with cross stitch patterns too Anne I got caught out with it but I left comment in there feedback so others would know.

It's happening all the time Violet. People were selling feedback until ebay stopped it as other members complained. My brother's bought fake CD's before that sellers have claimed to be genuine. As long as ebay make money, they don't care how.
