thanks, I am so pleased with how I have reduced the number of real cigs from 20 a day to 7 a day for the last 2 days

wednesday I smoked 7 real and 9 ecigs
thursday I smoked 7 real and 6 ecigs

big difference and hasn`t been too dificult, so am happy with that

my aim is to not need any nicotine

Joan if you are striving to stop using nicotine, at least with vaping you can steadilly reduce the nic content of juice, even down to zero. There are people who vape at 0% because they like the flavours and/or because it replaces all the other bits of smoking we all miss - the hand to mouth action, blowing out smoke, etc.

Chrissie, no I am not forcing myself to use only e-cigs because I don`t want to fail
small steps each day

oneday, I can`t speak for other people but I know part of my addiction is the hand to mouth habit,
I do have 14 tips at regular strength to get through,

I feel they are too strong for me as I was smoking light ciggies, 0.6 nicotine - so I am having to put a piece of tissue paper around the mouth piece to draw through

Is there something for sale that I can add to the tip to add an extra filter?

That's a sensible approach joan, I myself never had the slightest intention of giving up smoking and was just trying e-cigs to see what all the fuss was about, I used both side by side for a few months, gradually however I found that I was vaping more than I was smoking and decided that I would buy no more fags once the already purchased VAST stock had depleted. Long before they run out though I found that I was going days just vaping and forgetting about fags so I sold my remaining stocks. I started on high strength nic and over the months worked to lower the nic content gradually. I currently vape 15mg strength reduced from 26-36mg but I found that if I go any lower than 15mg then I'm not being satisfied. Once you find the right flavour juice for you then it all becomes easy.
Even if you use both systems side by side for the rest of your days you can be happy in the knowledge that you would have severely cut down the amount of crap nesting on your lungs.
Bottom line is, don't put any pressure on yourself and let the whole thing work in it's own good time.

Joan the normal way to reduce nic content in juice is to add glycerine to it. I'm not sure if that's possible with pre-filled tips. Are they the ones that look like ciggy filters? If so, how about putting a couple of pin holes in them near the top, so you get more air and less vapour with each puff?
