Increasing throat hit

Just not for me and I'm not a big on throat hit vaper.

I'd probably try a Carto Tank of some description if I were you . . . and/or a VV device.

Which RY4 have you got and what's the PG/VG ratio?

I like visions but I find there is not a lot of throat hit with them, I think thats why I like dripping so much.

The one vape escape 70/30 was really good, the one I got from another supplier was the same mix but at times I just cant get the hit, Iam going to try adding a bit of Vodka soon !

I find that helps, add some ice cubes and a dash of cola

Fill carto, let it steep a moment while you check the drink is mixed properly then if all is well, sit back, relax and vape

Vapeescape RY4 is a custom ordered mix from Hangsen. I have had Hangsen 26 mg RY4 and the Vapeescape one which I got on a trade and they almost identical.

There are different ways of increasing throat hit as you have probably already gathered. I will list them here along with limitations and you can try the combination that you want and find your sweet spot.

1. Higher voltage via a VV device. Juice may start to taste burnt.
2. Lower resistance cartomizers. Same as above.
3. Higher nicotine content. May be too harsh in the mornings but flavour will be good.
4. Cutting the juice. Possible loss of flavour.
5. Higher PG content juice. Vapour will be less but flavour will be better.

So 5 options or a combination thereof. For me increasing nic content worked and I can use that with just about any device and get a satisfactory throat hit.

I have been reading this thread with interest as I had a bit of a bad day yesterday. I kept reaching for a vape as I felt I hadn't used it.
I smoked 20-25 Lambert & Butler a day and I am on 18mg, maybe I have gone too low ?

I started on 18 mg. I used to smoke about 15-18 Mayfair Superkings Smooth on average.

I found that the vape was not satisfying me and I was sucking the bejesus out of the carto/clearo and constantly reaching for my PV. I upped it to 24 mg and I get a sharp and satisfying throat hit and cannot vape for long just like I coudn't chain smoke 3 analogues. About 5-10 drags and I am happy for the next half hour even after I am gagging for a vape after having gone really long without it.

I normally vape at around 4-4.2 volts with a -2.0 to 2.2 ohm clearo. For my ego 3.3 volt batteries, I vape a 1.6 to 1.8 ohm clearo. Towards the evenings I have one drag and rotate between flavours and put it down and have my next drag about 2-3 minutes later. Seems to work well for me but you got to experiment and find your sweet spot.

I have found I like menthol, I have 18mg I may buy the same in 24mg, if it's too strong I could try mixing it.
Sometimes I think i am asking daft questions but I could either take months to find out myself or give up even trying.
Asking seems the obvious choice, after all you all have been through it and done the experimenting.

Also I would prefer to vape the same as I smoked, every half hour-hour whatever , rather than chain vaping.

It's a very personal thing but I have found apple flavoured juice gives me the best throat. It's my go to e-juice when I really need an analogue like experience.

I'm guessing here , and it is only a guess that your probably about 2 months or so into vaping .

If thats the case then your taste buds are throwing a wobbly on you , it happens every now and again , and I would suggest you get a good menthol for the moments when you can't get a good hit
