I have had quite a few sample packs, and have got a variety of juice flavours. What I have found is that some of them really smepp and taste good when they are fresh from the manufacture, but as time goes one they start to loost that edge the once had. Now I know your suposed to let them steep to infuse the flavours, but for me most of them do not get better with age. Is it just me or is anyone here the same?

I have been wondering the same actually. I have a ton of samples that I have been trying out every now and then... so far I haven't noticed any of them improve dramatically over time. One possibility is that samples come from juice made up ahead of time rather than being freshly made within days of dispatch, which would mean they have already had plenty of time to steep. That would be a very sensible move on the part of the vendors since if you are buying a 5ml sampler they want you to try it asap to come back and buy more. Of course, a lot of them are also just being sold on after being imported without the vendor doing any mixing, so again they would already be weeks or months old. It would be a very handy thing if we could compile some sort of database of brands/vendors/flavours and whether they need steeping and if so for how long. It would be even more useful if the vendors provided that info for us!

Steeping is for freshly mixed juices, most samples have been sitting on the shelf for a good while and require no steeping.

Some juices are great to vape from the start and others need time to steep. When you say that some lose their edge over time, are they in a largish bottle compared with the volume of liquid thats in them? The air in the bottle will leech some of the flavour from the juice. If you have say 10mls of liquid in a 30ml bottle, Ive found, that the flavour does become more subtle quicker.

so really we want the juice deliverd in one of those boxed wines, where it is inside a bag that just shrinks as it is used and does not allow the air to get to it, hummmmmmm interesting

Even freshly made juices should only need about 48 hours to steep. A very few need up to a week, but the vendor should mention that

I'm a steeper. Because I do think it improves the flavours of the juices/mixes that I enjoy . . . mainly sweet flavours, others are different. If any flavours are kept for any length of time in plastic bottles, that will also cause some of the flavour to leech into the plastic. Long term storage, glass bottles are a better bet.
