Hi, can anyone PLEASE tell me, when does one know when their e cig battery needs replacing?

p.s I have the skycig.

Hi Dream. Rechargeable batteries can go through a certain number of charge cycles before they fail. Over time they tend to hold less charge and run out quicker. The automatic batteries like skycig (which are activated by sucking rather than by a button) have a hole down the centre which is prone to getting juice in, causing the battery to fail.

So... replace it if and when it fails or when you notice it's lasting a significantly shorter time

hmmmm I've only been vaping now for 9 days and it's all going well, but tonight I noticed or it seemed to me as though I was getting very little taste even though I placed a different flavored little used sky flavored cartridges.

Or, I'm thinking maybe it's because I have been constantly vaping all day and my taste buds have gone numb (can that happen?)

Well I couldn't figure it out so I had to have a roll up to see if that is what I needed, but and a BIG BUT, funny enough I couldn't taste that too! I feel a bit peed with myself for doing that right now as I've been so good keeping away from a roll up, but I have 4 batteries and they all seemed the same when I vaped on my e cig, . So, I just wondered if I blew my batteries

Dream, it sounds to me more like an empty cartomiser rather than a battery issue. Have you got any e-liquid yet to refill your cartomisers? a full cartomiser is only the equivalent of 8- 10 real cigs max (no matter what some bad sellers say), so if you have been vaping constantly, you will be drying them out quickly.

Chrissie, I topped the cartomiser up with e liquid. I think the problem could be that I've used a different cartridge today on my skycig, the (Innokin AIO 510 Cartomiser) that seems easier to vape with and gives a better vape than the skycig cartridge. Well I hope that doesn't burn my battery! But, for some reason I couldn't get the taste earlier on.

I will see how it feels and tastes tomorrow.


I'm now thinking in purchasing something better once I know the In's and outs of vaping. Is there any anyone could recommend? I still don't want to go to large, something similar to the sky cig, but something that can handle a little more and makes it easier for me to purchase accessories without having to go to Sky.

If your wanting to stick with the ciggy look-a-like then your going to be struggeling. it is the basic physics of not being able to fit a battery of larger power into the space.

Something you might want to look at is the 650mAh Riva/eGo battery that can be found in many shops. If you are wanting something small but still packs a punch then you will have to start looking at mods, but they do not look anything like a ciggy.

Just a quick update (as I've just woken up and need a couple of coffees to function lol )

I woke up about half hour ago and my throat feels burnt an acid feeling. (not sure if that makes sense, but the feeling you get on your throat when you drink coke, that kind of acid feeling, but constant) . I'm now vaping on my skycig cartomiser mint flavour and it feels more calmer on my throat ( the Innokin AIO 510 Cartomiser) feels as though it's more stronger on the inhale (but, I did near enough vape all day yesterday, maybe I need to give breaks?) I'm not sure as I'm so new to vaping and don't know what happens or expect!

I found vaping dries your throat out - I now go to bed with a glass of water (well I am single so I can go to bed with what I want.)
I also found a higher VG mix was gentler on the throat.
I do seem to have dry, gritty eyes a lot though - don't know if that's vape but I suspect it is.

I've bought one as 280mah is probably the best you can expect from a cig-a-like. Hubby has asked me to vape something a bit more normal looking next weekend at MILs and I've been obsesively worrying that my SkyCig kit would just not cope with my chain vaping

Yes I have 2 left at this moment and to post the 2 would only be 90p so for the 2 and charger it would be £14.88 posted first class.

I get that taste when I go to bed, escpecially if I have just coughed ( phlegm) it almost burns and tastes like an old ashtray.
Actually I have decided that it IS an old ashtray or tar tray. I'm pretty sure it's all that crap coming out of my lungs so will just grin and bear it and hope it goes away soon.
I always have water on my bedside table but lately I've noticed it's empty in the morning.
