I am getting a bit confused regarding nicotine. I use to smoke around 20-30 golden virginia roll ups per day, it's been 12 days since I stopped and yesterday and today I'm vaping on 0% e juice and I don't feel any different...how come? I know nicotine as being addictive!

I haven't tried it at all. But if I could use 0% I would soon be trying to leave the e cig alone too. I have a feeling that won't happen anytime soon to me lol

Dream, maybe you are even more addicted to the habit (hand to mouth, inhale-exhale) than you were to the nicotine? If so that is brilliant news for you

Nicotine isn't addictive. It's habit-forming, like caffeine and other mild stimulants, but in laboratory tests it's proved all but impossible to get rats or monkeys addicted to nicotine. Most of the addiction involved in smoking comes from other tobacco alkoids which act in the same way as MAOI anti-depressants, together with the psychological effects of routine action. Vaping allows you to keep the nicotine habit and the routine action, while kicking the dependence on the other chemicals in cigarette smoke. Switching to 0% liquid lets you kick the nicotine habit while retaining the psychological benefits from the routine action. One of the reasons that standard nicotine replacement therapies have such a low success rate is that they're addressing the least important part of tobacco dependency; the nicotine habit. Vaping addresses the two least important directly - nicotine and habitual action - and addresses the most important - MOAI dependency - indirectly, by providing a new interest (which can easily become obsessive) and by feeding the sense of pleasure and accomplishment, all of which are useful tools for fighting the mild to moderate depression which can result from what is, in effect, a withdrawal from using anti-depressants.

Yes, I just hope I don't crave for it tomorrow.
The funny thing is when I did smoke I use to get a weird feeling which I felt whenever I had a roll up first thing in the Morning.
you won't believe what I'm going to say, but it use to make me feel drained and depressed! I always use to think to myself "this nicotine or what ever is in this tobacco is not good for me and I had a feeling I was not addicted to nicotine But, the habit! Having a coffee with a cigarette was the best part of the habit!
Well now I don't drink coffee as much either....Fingers crossed I don't feel different tomorrow!

I tried switching to a no nicotine e liquid for a bit, but I felt it myself. That was quite a while ago though and I only vape 8mg low strength now, so I might see what it is like again. Perhaps with a decent flavour that gave a bit of a throat hit, like menthol, it would be ok.
From what I have read about ncotine, its actual effects are pretty mild, I mean I remember that feeling after having one without for a bit when I was a smoker, but I dont get that any more when vaping, so maybe that was something else in the tobacco smoke did that, gave me that woozy feeling.
Its a mild stimulant, a bit like caffeine I believe, although it can also weirdly act as a relaxant, depending on the length of drag you take. Deep drags have a more relaxing effect, but that may be due to the extra oxygen inhaled i guess.

Good for you dream. Hopefully you won't feel the need to up the nicotine. Although if you do it's no big deal.
