Hi all, I'm relatively new to this e cig malarkey, had one a couple of years ago, but lost interest / motivation... but I'm back on it! I'm having a bit of a problem though - I bought one of the sky cig starter kits when they were on offer, and got on ok with it, and have been refilling the cartos with menthol e juice... Then, last weekend, I decided to try something a bit more sophisticated, and bought a titan tank with the long battery.. it all works fine, but, I found that the mentho juice via trefilled sky cartomisers had a much more minty flavour than the same juice in the titan tank... This week, I have bought myself some juices (decadent vapours and grizwalds) and am dissapointed to find that the same is still happening... if I put them into the pre-used sky cig cartomisers, I can taste the different flavours clearly - but in the titan tank they all taste pretty much the same - a little bitter from the nicotine, a tiny waft of barely there flavour, and that's it... I am struggling to tell the difference between mint and rose... even when used in fresh, uuncontaminated tanks... Can anyone help?? thanks in advance!

As both your Sky cig & your Titan are 510 threads, you could get some Boge 510 cartomisers & fill them to use on both. Afraid I've not heard too many good reports about the T type atomiser/tanks. BTW, the Titan is just a re-branded 510 mini. So if you are going to stick with it, you can buy parts much cheaper than from Totally Wicked

thanks Chrissie, yeah, I had just about figured out that they are both 510 threads... but it's handy to have that confirmed... I went with totally wicked first as I they are reasonably well known, and figure I would experiment from there... when you say you havent heard too many good reports re the T type atomisers, do you mean including the boge cartomisers?
I figured the tanks were a little easier to fill, and to see when they are getting low on juice... but I'm not that fussy really - I like the slimmer e cigs (for now anyway) and would be happy if anyone could advise on geting the best flavour from them... do you think the titan tank is faulty, or just not great?

Hi from another newbie,so much good advise on here,I to spent a lot of time at totally wicked, but goggling around found its a very competitive market out there and their prices are a bit high,so never really bought anything except 5 sample juices,I do like a couple of them though,so keep an eye out in case they go on offer

Hi Badgerdog I started on the skycig kit then went on to a vision 900 from vape escape... I often use the sky cartridge on the 900 battery when I want to use certain juices... ie coconut or vanilla as I think the flavour can sometimes be stronger from the cartridge. Thinking about investing in some boge or kangor cartomisers when the skycig ones are kaput

Those type of tanks(not to be confused with other tanks) I find mute the flavour, just think of both the skycig and Titan as two batteries, then think of the skycig cartomiser and Titan tank as the delivery system of juice, as they are both 510 you now have a load of atomisers out there to choose from, as you like the skycig carto you can do as gjdart is thinking of doing, buy some kangers or boge carto's, if you invest in a better battery, Ego/Riva/Tornado, which are all basically the same thing, they will last you longer, the smaller Ego/Riva/Tornado are 650Mah and you would more than likely get 6+ hrs from them, the larger ones 1000mah would easily last a day, being stronger batteries they will give you a better hit feom your carts and you would also have the option of trying more atomiser/carts etc

It's a common problem I'm afraid with the 510-T, Ego T systems Badger, they do tend to mute flavours. There's not a lot you can do about it, as they're not faulty.
As Sandra says, opting for an Ego style battery next time will give you much greater options of what you can screw into it and give you a better vaping experience as a result.

Welcome to the forum If you do decide to go for a larger battery as suggested........... I would suggest in getting some rainbow visions..........easy to clean and they do deliver the flavour for a satisfying vape

thankyou folks.. so it it the tank or the atomiser that is to blame?
If I wanted to continue using the 501 style batteries, would the rainbow vision fit it?
Out of the boge and kangor cartomisers, is one better than the other?
I wasn't a heavy smoker, so battery life is not a biggie for me... and I prefer the 501 size batteries for now.. that's not to say I may not change my mind in the future, but at the moment the dimensions are an important factor (psychologically) in making the switch from cigs to e cigs...

Hi badgerdog. Technically the rainbow would fit the 510 as it has the same thread so it would screw on ok. Visually it would look very strange as the rainbow is a lot bigger in diameter than the 510 battery. Personally I'd give Boge cartos a try. They'd fit technically and physically, and provide a better vape in my opinion than atty/tnk combinations

Completely agree with One day, I love the Boge cartomisers. The Kanger are good as well & many folks prefer them.
Though I'm not sure the visions would fti directly on a mini (Titan) 510 without a 510-ego adapter?

It fits, this is a skycig battery, but it looks daft

Lol, it certainly does And of course, with the mini 510's being so slim there isn't any need for an adapter - was having a senior moment # #
