A very noob question

Did try a google for this, but threads seem to get over complicated or hijacked on something unrelated,
So heres my basic question,
How do I know when to throw away a cartomiser? I've been using one quite heavily for a week now, keep it very moist, so no burnt tastes. Trying to work out how I know when it's dud?

When it stops vaping nicely and you find your cheeks hollowing when you take a pull!

TBH it vaires greatly so many variables, I just changed my carto's every Sunday, I figured a week for £1.50 was'nt bad

You could try a new one against the one you've been using, if the old one is as good as the new just put it aside until you feel the old one has wimped out.

If it's still working for you then it's fine.

I find that they become difficult to fill, they seem to lose absorbancy and juice starts to just knid of run through them. Sometimes they taste burnt and sometimes it's just difficult to get a decent vape out of them.

I figure that you should be able to get at least 10mls through one so long as you don't let it dry out. There are loads of variables though, some juice seems to booger them up quicker than others

Sometimes you just get a dodgy one. I seem to have a dodgy DDC one at the moment. I have it in a tank and it will only work ar quite high voltage and it's starting to flood already, I only opened it last night

Cartos is one thing that you reall do need spares for your spares

That's what I figured that when the taste doesn't come through as strong, i think it is less now on this cartomiser than when I started, just that I didn't want to be wasting and throwing stuff away prematurely

I must admit (touching wood) that I've been very lucky with cartos and visions considering they are consumables. I've not had one blow or just stop dead. The tight draw Des mentioned is a good indicator that it's on it's way out, and I've also had a couple that started spitting hot juice in my gob

I have a bag of used past there best but still some life in cartos.

I plan to boil them at some point then pop them in the freezer to fluff them up again!

Good advice too Karma, 10mls does sound about right, just about getting to the end of this 10ml bottle of raspberry dodge now on this carto and the taste is fading.
I think I will start a new carto for my new 30ml bottle, just didn't want to do that if it wasn't necessary.
In my first week of vaping I was burning out cartos, but now I've learnt how to fill them properly and keep them topped up, I just wasn't sure how I knew when they were finished
