Would you say £3.00 signed for postage for e liquid is reasonable? In general what is the postage from most suppliers?
I'm inlove with a strawberry from one supplier and was wondering about the postage as I'm new and haven't used many suppliers as yet.
I know paradise postage is £1.50 and his e juice is great, but what do you pay? what would you say is reasonable?

You can get 5 to 6 x 10ml bottles in an polybag envelope (about 97g) for 90p for first class, this does not include packaging or signed for but you can get proof of postage free.

Vapour Juice has free postage. But it has to be paid for so whether it's 'free' or just built into the price, you are paying for it somewhere.

Dream, try asking the vendor if he's happy to send it without the signed-for option which should reduce the postage cost. If not, and you can afford to do it, buy several bottles at a time

Moving this to general vaping as it will also help others more there Postage costs have gone up so much recently. I sent a smallish birthday present parcel to a friend the day & got a couple of books of 4x large letter stamps. Was shocked to only get a few pence change from a £10 note

The large letter can measure 353 mmx 250mm and be upto 25 mm thick..For 90p that's actually quite a big package. Anything more and the prices start to get silly and sometimes it is cheaper to post seperately.. I read up on postage after I made a balls up of posting something to bluemagmum at the wrong postage cost..

Postage is a really touchy subject for me. On a personal level and a business one. I live in Northern Ireland, most things I order from the mainland cost me ridiculous amounts of money to have delivered, with company's claiming that Northern Ireland is a high postage area. Funny though, when I post to my customers in England, Scotland and Wales it costs exactly the same, every time. I ordered postage labels recently from England and they cost me £19.99, postage was £8.49 - WHAT? I worked out how much it would be for me to send to the supplier and it was £2.70. I have family who live in London and when they post to me it costs them the same as it would for me to post to them. Postage, in my view is something that some suppliers use as a tool to make a little more profit. I decided to offer free postage across the board. I would charge for recorded or special delivery but only at the cheapest rate available. As a nation we need to have an alternative to Royal Mail, the sooner it's privatised and more company's get involved, the better. I have a lot of friends in America and they have great postal services and many alternatives. We are in the dark ages in the UK when comes to postal services. Sorry for the wall of text!

royal mail will charge £1.85 or £3.65 for signed for depending on the bottle size a lot of vendors will subsidise the postage cost

Offering free postage, whilst maintaining prices, would mean cut backs somewhere. And, I don't think I could cut Griz back anymore

Just out of interest, at what point does a business start thinking of a franking machine Jason?

I looked into franking machines Macca, but went with a PPI account in the end, because we use the Packetpost account (minimum 5,000 parcels per annum) and get charged on average weights rather than per package. But, I would say that is about the level that it becomes more viable. It just seems easier to use the pre-printed labels and weigh by the sack. Also, didn't fancy another machine to break

Part of me thinks it's quite good value to get something from one side of the country to the other overnight, if it runs to plan, for £2.70. It's smaller orders that appear to have been most hit by the last postal increase, so if you're just buying a 30ml bottle of juice which won't go large letter . . . then it adds a fair old wack onto your order. My answer ( to most things ) is to buy more, then it's quite good value.
