the e-cig bomb/terrorist alert misunderstanding on the M6 has lead to an article on the BBC news site about e-cig etiquette read article heresurely the solution here is vape and be proud (we're doing nothing wrong) that way the public at large will become more aware and accepting

Absolutely..I see so many people are self conscious about vaping just because others pass comments like "crack pipe" or something derogatory..
I never stealth vape and see no need for it, especially since I am not doing anything wrong...I might nip into the loo and have a few drags if I felt it was inappropriate to give the impression of smoking but 99% of the time I have my PV on full display..

Thirded - stealthing is ridiculous, when you think about it - nothing illegal going on, nothing damaging to anyone else, either. In fact, it's much less damaging and offensive than a hearty fart or nasty body odour. The problem lies with looky-likeys, as I have so often said, and the WHO's concerted effort to demonise smokers the world over.
Large and proud - give it some.... and don't ever apologise or back down, that's my advice. I took these things up so that I didn't have to go and stand in the cold and wet and rain, so I'll be damned if I'm gonna start nipping out again now...

Agree, hiding it has never helped anyone. In fact quite the opposite.

I agree. So far I have stealth vaped twice. As it happens the first time was Monday on a 3 hour train journey and the other was on Thursday (while the M6 thing was happening) on the return train journey. I was trying out to see what stealthing was like and nobody (as far as I could tell) noticed me doing it. I blogged about it for those that know my site.
The rest of the time I produce nice big satisfying clouds of vapour for all to see on a less than inconspicuous double 18650 VV mod.

It's an unfortunate situation in modern day society. The haters and activists complained about tobacco smoking in public, it was banned.
An alternative has been brought in to production that does not affect 'innocent bystanders' and there are still concerns. Where does it stop??
Even though I am a supplier, I would not have got in to the business unless I thought it completely safe and viable, I love E-Cigs and think they have improved my life considerably when it comes to health and relaxation. My thoughts are that any derogatory statement, complaint or criticism probably stems from the tobacco manufacturers, after all they are the guys who will lose out most.
I think the complaints and criticisms are petty and contrived.
I have been in one establishment in Belfast where there was a notice to say that Electronic Cigarettes were acceptable. I think more restaurants, pubs, airlines and other establishments should put these signs up, it will ease e-cig users' nerves and make the ignorant more savvy to reality. Besides that, it may encourage more people to make the switch and may even improve establishments' revenue.
I haven't decided yet if I have just ranted or made a calm and sensible contribution, you decide!
In the meantime use your e-cigs wherever you want and can, it'll annoy the naive and ignorant.

As a business it must have cost the Toll Road at least £45.60 in loss revenue due to the lack of cars travelling on it!!!
