You all sound like lovely dog owners your dogs are well behaved and gentle. I think a lot of the so called dangerous dogs are not treated as well as yours . Sorry if that sounds a bit odd but gentle firm but fair dog owners usually have gentle well behaved dogs I think

Lol, BC my dog is not very well behaved around other dogs at all He is very gentle with people, children, cats (he's scared of our cat, lol) and he's fine with a few dogs that he knows well, but he really is a bit of a nightmare at times

It's no different to children really Beauty ( not that I've had any ) but dogs need to know their boundaries and be taught good, social skills and manners. Sadly, there are so many owners who take on a dog, or any pet for that matter, and aren't prepared to give the time and commitment they need to achieve that. That's one of the reasons the Shelter's are so full of poor unwanted animals, the novelty factor has worn off. Give any dog the right amount of care, love and attention it needs and you'll have a faithful, loving companion for life.

He ISgentle with people, children etc which I think makes him well behaved My DD was knocked over by a dog when she was just toddling. Cue years of trauma crying, hiding demanding we crossed the road. Eventually a friend with the gentlest dog ever let her just stand in the room with her dog, then touch then eventually stroke, he laid down patiently the whole time. Although it must be difficult for you with other dogs around

I put my dog on a lead when there are other dogs around and I often cross the road too It's nothing to do with the other dogs, it's because mine can be a total PITA with other dogs and I can never be sure which ones he will go for I think staffies are lovely and most have great tempraments so don't pressume all this avoiding is because of your dog, unfortunately many people have rather highly strung tempremental dogs Edited to add - I forgot to say, that's a lovely looking dog you have Karma our Springer Milo is the same sometimes he is ok meeting a dog the next he goes ballistic!! & you never know how he is going to be We just tend to keep him away as some people react way over the top

Yep, and these people that go over the top just convince the dog that he was right to be aggressive
