Has he posted anywhere why after dismissing electronics for years why he is now manufacturing stuff with electronics?

I think I'll wait for the Proteus to come out and then make a decision whether to invest in a set..I don't see the point of buying something nice without a matching battery..

Yes, it is going to be vv, it's the electrics that are holding up the whole thing

He's a businessman as well as an inventor - the market wants electronics, and he's giving the market what it wants.

I know what you mean, but the Penelope sits atop an original ProVari as if it was made for it, matched a GGTB rather nicely and would, I think complement the all chrome Lavatubes rather well, too. Aside from which, it performs. And how.

Yeah I gathered it was electronic..

What I wanted to know was if anyone knew if it was VV or regulated 3.6 v output. There is conflicting information between the wiki and ECF..

I only own and use ego batteries..

What attracted me to this is that it's slim because I want something that's pocket friendly and has spares avaialble in the market..

It's both I think Macca, as the Proteus will have a drop in VV module that you can remove for a 3.6v output. * I think. *

But I've not really followed the Proteus & Penelope thread on ECF, as I wasn't going to buy either.

Penelope is as hifi said, as though it was made for the provari, looks a little lost atop a GGTS but I have it on the don in midi mode with a kick and it sits just nice. Also I've been using it on a vv ego pass-thru battery and found it very pocketable

And penelope itself ? what a performer
