Chrome LT?

Has the fire button on anyone else's chrome LT turned black??? ???
I can't get a very good pic of it but ...



I don't understand why it's turned black the rest of it is fine, it's just the fire button. It feels rough as well, it's not smooth to the touch anymore
Anyone else's the same? Or any ideas why it's changed?

I wouldn't know why it has, but I'd be gutted myself...........Surely it must be a heat issue......

I am gutted I've only had it few weeks, it started off having issues with misfiring too but that seems to have mysteriously resolved itself ??? Lol. It doesn't look as pretty now though with a black button

Tafilad just showed me his Mini Chrome LT and same thing has started on that!!! he's not happy (hope he doesn't mind me posting. I'll PM him now.

Yes button is plastic,heard lots of people have had issues like this along with peeling elsewhere.The only one to get is the stainless steel one from apollo but out of stock.

Yes it is plastic and the coating is coming off.
I am going to contact the vendor but i do not know what he can do about it

Not that fussed about it as long as it all comes off and I am left with one colour on the button,I just want the vendor to be aware of this so people are told this can/will happen.

I agree with tafi, people need to be aware before they buy that the button is going to lose its colouring.

Mine has turned black too on the Mini.
Also my power and + and - buttons have also lost their silver finish, looked pants when it was happening but now they're black all over it does not look too bad.

Ok to address this, Not sure how many have this issue and i was only aware of the odd ones, the issue seemed to be with chromers (is that right?) the latest batch we've had in are using a different chromer this time and shouldnt have an issue. Not all lavatubes from the previous batch have this issue though.

For the people that have been affected, if you want to give me a pm here or send an email we can get your account added with some credit for this if that is ok?
