On a video I watched the other day they were using 100% cotton wick, as anyone tried it and if so was it any better?

Thank you, Wow that is cheap I'm an habitual swisher, I therefore think I could keep it wet

Sounds like you and cotton wick are made for each other Annie.

For me they burn far far too easily, I struggled to keep them moist in an odysseus, all it takes is one push of the firing button when there's just a little less juice and it burns. I wouldn't dare use it outside of the house without the ability to rewick instantly I wouldn't even contemplate wicking a nova with it It's a shame because they provide an excellent flavour and as perpy says, cheap as chips. Hard to burn though when used inside a mesh in a hybrid system

Ive had some success with cotton wicks, tried alot of different wick/coils this past week on my vivi nova, keep getting muted taste with silica. Anyhow, using cotton wool twisted into a wick seems to have fair success...something to consider if you are bored

I am slowly edging my way towards getting into rewicking Novas and plan on trying cotton wool and gauze after reading that very long but interesting thread on ECF. Anything that can give me more flavour is worth a try!

Anything that can give me more flavour is worth a try! You can get a mesh wick into a nova, great flavour but you'll drain the tank in 20mins

I will probably try mesh as well although cotton seems soooo much easier. I am not sure I will like mesh though I have a sensitive throat to vapour (bizarrely after 20 odd years of smoking ) and I suspect any sign of a metallic taste will be unpleasant to me. Does mesh effect the temperature of the vapour?

Mesh will give you very good and pure flavour but will be a bit of a juice monkey..
Mesh will also give you a slightly hotter vape..

Yeah, I suspected it would produce a hotter vape which isn't good for me . I will still try it though, but cotton first.
