New E liquid tastes like death. Please help.

I'm sure you have noobies like me asking this all the time. But I just tried some eliquid I ordered a while ago and it could not have tasted worse. I ordered the stuff on 7/20 and it came on the 23rd. The labels on the bottles say they were mixed on 7/20, so they've had a while to steep. Just now I busted them (2 separate 5 mL bottles of liquid) out and injected 1 mL of each in a blank kr8081-d cartomizer with a syringe. So I juiced up two carto's and let them sit for a few minutes to let the liquid spread evenly through the filling in the carto and then I tried them both on my battery and they each tasted terrible. It tasted like I was vaping smoke and acid. What have I done wrong?

Sounds as if there isn't enough juice in the carto, really soak it, let it stand for a few mins after and then vape. The acrid, smoke, burning type thing is when the carto is burnt because there's not enough juice. Once it's burnt though, you need to chuck it.

What juice is it ? Pg/VG ratio could all be contributing factors I find high pg is very acidic and some cherry flavours

I find that using the 'condom' method for the first couple of fills really gets the juice into the carto. Have a look at the last post here

sorry to say Pixie is right, if you've burnt those cartos you need to bin them, there is no way to save them

Another thought, did you give the juice bottles a good shake & steep them with the caps off?

Could be that you have scorched the cartomizer or you have a supply of 'quality' juices from a certain vendor who was selling them off for 1 euro recently.

Ok first of all thank you much for the replies.
The carto's were brand new so I hope I didn't burn them out in the 2 drags I took on them, but if I did its ok I expected to make mistakes lol.
Not of enough liquid in the cartomizers sounds like it could be the problem, like I said I just put a 1 mL in each and capped them up.
The PG/VG is 50/50.
When I got them in the mail I shook them up real good and let them steep for a day with the caps off, for the rest of the time I left the lids on.
And I paid about ~$4 USD for each 5 mL bottle of liquid.

So I'll probably try to drip some for fluid into the carto's later tonight after I get off work.
