Made a schoolboy error last night and vaped Penny without opening the juice control. The expected burning ensued which annoyed me, but I thought 'Hey, I can always rebuild the wick' and so left it at that. About an hour ago, I started rebuilding Penny. Bit of a bugger to get the central wick area out of the base (yes, I greased it up with VG before I started) and was wondering if I'd cross threaded the screws (I haven't, thankfully). However, I noticed that the central nut was loose which it certainly wasn't when I installed it and thought it was strange. Then I dismantled the whole assembly to find that the ceramic had cracked in 2 places - which means I now have a 3 piece ceramic. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! > It had to be the part that's as rare as Hen's Teeth (I was going to use the other euphemism but thought better of it) wouldn't it? I see that Cam is putting orders up on Tuesday night again. I wonder what my chances of getting some ceramics will be...? Was also considering gluing the ceramic back together with super glue, but am a little concerned if it would be safe to vape after that (with the chemicals in SuperGlue - including cyanide!). What do you think - has anyone else succeeded with doing that? Super Glue is a BAD idea. Forget I mentioned it.To say I'm annoyed is an understatement. I understand some of Ellen's frustration now. EDIT: Added warning

It's never happened to me but when the ody came out, a few people had cracked ceramics. Some of them just carefully pieced the ceramic back together in the housing till replacements arrived. Could yours be put back together till you can get one?

After my vent, I decided to see if I could 'Jigsaw' it unglued, hoping that the metal shroud would hold things together alongside the wick/wire. Below are the photos. 1. The broken ceramic 2. Inserted into shroud 3. Rebuilt 4. Resistance check 5. First burn test So, it's vaping at the moment. Just need to be bloody careful when I open her up for another rebuild. In the meantime, I'm going to try and get 3 ceramics come Tuesday, if I can bloody remember. Let's be careful with our ceramics out there people!

Dental glue will fix it.. So will £4.50 - if I get the chance... Is dental glue OK for inhaling on a regular basis, as that's what we'd be doing effectively.

If you can get new ones that's obviously best..
I see no reason why dental glue would be inhaled at all once it's set, but if you are not comfortable with it, don't use it..I would have no problem using dental glue to fix broken ceramic on a atty if I wanted it whole..
Has there been a study done? I am not aware of one..

I've lost count as to how many times i've stuck my falsies back. My next door neighbour used to stick her crown back in with it

Ah - it's one thing to ingest it via the gut, a completely different one when taking it in by the lungs - hence the question mark over flavourings (currently). Anytime I see the word 'Cyanide', I'm always cautious. I've seen Miss Marple...
