It took me a week to stop the nasties completely I only had a little mini e-cig at first and would smoke in between charging the battery. Once I got my Riva I completely stopped the nasties because I enjoy vaping a lot more

Big Bang for me I was in hospital couldn't smoke so decided that was it ??? got out a week later looked on net saw Riva & that was me sorted!!!

I will be stopped smoking 1 year on the 31st of this month #icon_veryhappy# am i proud? HELL YEAH!!!!

Wow - blown away by the responses guys thank you, an interesting mix of views. I'm in no great hurry to go Big Bang myself, just very happy that I've reduced my intake, that will help fund the fortune I've just spent on Ecig stuff:) Think we'll take our time to acclimatise and it will happen when it happens.

We're off to the states in a couple of weeks, no smoking in the hotel or hire car, so hoping we can get our respective Ecigs working well before then.

Very impressive results from all of you, what a friendly supportive place this is. Quite excited at the prospect of replacing the evil weed with a social pastime and a fabulous support group here. Cheers - Bob

It has taken me over three years from when I got my first 901 back in Feb 09 to stop smoking the stinkys, I cut down from 30 odd ciggies a day to between 5 and 10 a day more or less straight away and I was happy doing that, sadly I lost my Mum end of August 09 and my tobacco consumption went straight back up again and although i still used the ecig i never got back down to the 10 a day again, infact I was smoking normal ciggies plus rollies when I was a bit skint and still vaping as well so I was keeping 3 habits going lol, the last year or so I hadn't been enjoying any of my cigarettes and really wanted to give up, My Sister has had to give up smoking as they were affecting her health and she picked a day to stop and I told her that I would also stop with her so on 21st May we both had our last ciggie, I used patches with my ecig to start with Sis used Patches and Gum then inhalator thingy but she was struggling, told her to order an ecig as I was doing great, she did and she didn't struggle anymore and were both doing great we have stopped the patches now and just use the ego's , so don't beat your self up not stopping straight away some do some don't, everyone of us is different

I stopped more or less straight away, though I was only smoking 10-15 a day. The only blip was in the beginning when I had only one battery which didn't last all day (I'm often out from 8am to past midnight). Once I got a second battery it was enough to last the day and I haven't touched a death-stick since.

I started in Jan 2012 in a Big Bang but not expecting to......just tried out of curiosity and thought they looked great on youtube etc.

Got Riva, smoked my last fag as I put it together, and have never had one since. Am amazed that I no longer smoke after 30 plus years.

Don't even think about it now. Tried a single puff of a fag at 1 month and 3 months just to see, not cos I wanted one, and couldn't stomach them.

Still pinching myself.....
