I'm delighted to discover that I can make menthol juice using menthol crystals. I'm definitely going to give that a go at some point. This also got me wondering if food flavourings, of the sort found in the baking section of the supermarket, can be used. Things like vanilla essence, etc.
Also is there a way to get a concentrated flavour from actual fruit and other food items? Coffee? Tea? Root ginger? Could I steep the contents of a herbal or fruit teabag in PG for example?
Probably not fish fingers and custard though...

There's nothing to stop you using food flavourings Lewis, providing they don't contain oils, which a number of them do. So close inspection of the contents is required.
You may also find them considerably weaker than the flavourings supplied by ecig Vendors and their intensity may weaken quicker as well.
It's possible to make Tobacco ejuice from steeping the raw leaves, but I'd think you need to do more research to see if you could do that with Ginger Root etc.
Is it worth the effort, when flavourings are relatively inexpensive to buy?

Supermarket food flavourings are generally weak and you`ll have to use loads to get any taste...vanilla works ok though. Remember to check whats in the ingredients..no oil based ones for example. Ive had very limited success and now use FA/PA/DV flavours, hope to try the Lorann ones when they arrive. Making your own infusions is probably not a great idea too..but who am I to stop you. There is alot of info on the ecf forums about it..google is your friend
