She's lovely Bee Staffies get such a bad name but with the right owner they have great tempraments Completely agree Karma . . . Barbara Woodhouse although a funny old stick, whose training methods I don't subscribe to as a whole package . . . used to say, that other than a dog with inbreeding problems or mental health issues . . . that there was no such thing as a bad dog . . . only bad owners. There's alot of truth in that. Gosh, can dogs really have mental health issues? That must be what's wrong with mine He's a horror with some other dogs, especially ones bigger than him. We looked after his brother at the weekend, great fun having 2 dogs Feeding time was a nightmare though Max's brother is so gentle and laid back, Max was acting as if he'd been starved for a month. Going to see if I can find a doggy psychiatrist

Apparently they can Karma . . . I meet a lady who has persevered with a JR, whose other siblings have all had to be put to byes because of their unpredictable behaviour, due to inbreeding.
She goes to extraordinary lengths with this little chap, to keep everyone safe, he's muzzled when outside, is never allowed off the lead and she walks him at times of the day/night when there aren't many people about.
He's as good as gold indoors apparently and gets on famously with her other doggie, a Border Collie . . . so he's not a 'bad' dog as such.

My holly has mental issues too, but it's not due to inbreeding. We got her from the dogs home as a pup with her sister and the staff there didn't realise she was seriously ill, she had canine distemper. She was at the vets for a week over all having treatment and during that time her temperature was so high that she got brain damage so now she's a little bit odd. She doesn't like things that stand up- she has to go and knock them over, she compulsive licks herself and she's terrified of bizarre things like her sister coughing (maybe she remembers them both being ill as pups?). Other than that she's a lovely dog, she has no aggression issues or anything she's just 'quirky' lol we still love her

Poor thing my sister had a a king Charles spaniel he hated piles of ironing on the side and would bark at them lol and he would completely freak out if anyone but my sister brushed him and howl as if he was being tortured I think in his case it was inbreeding the women who breed them was a complete nut job and my sister ended up with them to get them out of her hands poor things

Awwwww Bee . . . I'm so glad your girl has someone who appreciates and loves her, despite the quirks.
