On another note Frankie is coming in more often, and sleeps in our bedroom all night and is being really loving if he can't see the kittens.

Infact the only thing that stops them dead in their tracks is Frankie coming in. At which point they all freeze and move very s l o w l y to hide until he's gone. When he's gone it's a free for all again.
