I like the fizzing noise they make and when they crackle lol i take a drag then open my mouth to hear the crackle then close and drag some more but i think its mainly the boges that crackle |

Well batty if theres no earth comming from the consumer unit then chances are they are not earthed..yes replace the old fuse for mcbs as those old fuses can carry on if theres a fault ..ive had a right nightmare of a week so far doing this job at the mo..im sick of cables and tools right now grrrrrrrrr |

Nice one Batty for finding it...Typical with the joists tho...tho if the house has been rewired before you can see which boards have been up...still better than rewiring the lot..hope you sort it out Batty |

Batty i got to go to work now...but to start woth...check all sockets and make sure nothing has come out or loose...if you have power going out and not back you have a cable down and could just be loose or has come out...if its damaged you could bell them out and find the faulty cable..gorra go bud..be back later tho |

Hey batty things will turn around As for your sockets you could have a dodgy appliance thats tripping or blowing the fuse or could be more serious..nevertheless you can rewire them yourself and get someone in to test them and provide a cretificate.Im a 17th edition sparky and have done loads of testing but i dont have the 2391 inspection and testing papers..Gimme a shout if i can help you at all..chin up mate |
