I've tried a few whiskeys and I just don't find them at all convincing. Like burnt molasses and rubbing alcohol... Paradise Vape's Whisky is not bad, but it becomes pretty special with a little VapourJuice Smokey Hickory in it. It's the Smokey Hickory I'd have to have as my one and only. The worst, a Black Cherry that faithfully reproduces the exact taste of ripe, juicy...carrots.

If you're going to market it, better delete the post where you said how you made it. Replace it with "custom-built from the finest construction-grade copper tubing (as used in Buckingham Palace), precision cut and polished by a skilled craftsman".

You can dewad a cartomiser. I saw it done a long time ago when there was just cartomisers and atomisers and people were hailing the teabag mod as the greatest upgrade to vaping since... there wasn't a mod before that These days, you rarely see anyone teabagging. <gets coat>

Actually, if it's unthreaded and tapered, and you know the precise dimensions you need, then I've probably got a bit of gash walnut sitting about that I might be able to turn down for you.

If you're doing it in wood, then unless you want it perfectly cylindrical you'll want to use a lathe. If you do want it cylindrical, and it's just a skirt (i.e. not a threaded connector), then all you need is a saw and a drill, assuming you can find a wooden rod in the right size. If you want it threaded, then you'll need either a very fine wood tap (and you'd be lucky to find one in the right size) or a piece of threaded metal to glue inside the wooden cylinder.

I want 10mg nic juice, so buy 20mg in 100ml, do I then mix that 100ml with 100ml of pg or vg to get to 10mg nic? Obviously the flavour will be halved but I'm sure with trial and error and not much money it's possible to get that back by adding concentrated flavour. The original/required strength of flavour is going to have an impact, particularly at 100ml quantities. If the flavour is 10% of the mix, then cutting the 100ml with 100m of V/PG will give you 200ml of 10mg juice at half-flavour, but you'll need to add 10ml of flavour concentrate to get the same taste. That will dilute the nicotine strength again, because you'll now have 210ml of juice.

Well, I was wondering if maybe because I've not smoked for 5 weeks that my taste buds are going through a change? Although if that were the case, wouldn't I be more sensitive to the flavour? Taste buds are fickle things, influenced by diet (short- and long-term), environment (humidity, odours, dust...), health, hydration, weather...frankly, it's a minor miracle that anything ever tastes the same twice.

It's weird that I forget people smoke at all when I'm on this forum. I was reminded that people smoke this afternoon, when a smoker walked past me. They weren't smoking at the time, but I knew they were a smoker. I used to smell like that.

If you overfilled it, juice can run down the central tube and out the bottom. This can also happen if you accidentally squirt juice down the tube while filling. How much is running out? Does it stop after a few drips?

You could try filling it with lighter fluid and then burning it off.
NOTE: do not try filling it with lighter fluid and then burning it off.

Nicotine is a carbon, nitrogen and hydrogen molecule. Ammonia is a compound of nitrogen and hydrogen. So the building blocks of ammonia are present in e-liquid. There is, however, no natural process by which ammonia could be extracted from nicotine and any artificial process would leave a fair amount of spare carbon. So iff there's a sooty deposit in the bottle, contact the chemistry department of your nearest university, because there could be a PhD in this.
