About eLiquid, if you have multiple favourites, does anyone have any good ideas for organising their clearomisers/tanks to make sure you keep them all straight?
I've had several favourites, and because of vapour's tongue, I can't always tell which eLiquid I've used in which clearomiser. Because I'm a female with multiple colours of nail varnish, I thought I'd choose a colour for each flavour and put a dot of varnish on the bottle as well as the clearomiser to know which ones I've used where. And because I've got loads of clearomisers and little bottles, lipstick organisers work really well to hold them all!
Any other tips for organising your stash?
Also curious to know what main tastes you're drawn to. I had a huge bubblegum fetish and still love it, but that's the best of the fruit flavours I've really taken to. Since, I've discovered lovely confectioneries and bakery flavours, such as peanut butter, Snickers, glazed doughnut, and chocolate caramel, and I've been pleasantly surprised that mixing them can really work well too!
Unfortunately, I've had to switch to less intense flavours indoors because my partner tells me that the stronger ones make the house smell like a sugar factory, ha ha.

Your information has been brilliant, thanks to everyone! I hadn't realised you could actually re-wick, but as I'd suspect it might be easier to purchase a new clearomiser in lieu of re-wicking, I may not look into that just yet. But I certainly won't discount the idea for the future! snow, when you talk about the Nautilus Mini Clone, where would I look to find one? Were they just the clearomisers you were talking about or the actual device? I had a look at the FastTech website, and as the prices are all in $, I assume they are in the US? If so, I wonder how long it takes to receive an order and how easy it is to get replacement bits. (Well, I really shouldn't whinge because I grew up in California!)

What a lovely treat to come back after work and see all these responses, thanks everyone. As keepitgoin mentioned very early in this thread, I think it will apply now - there's a lot of information to digest! I'm glad I'm not the only newbie to have this problem with cheap clearomisers, so perhaps the responses will benefit Tykess as well. DaveJ , when you say "replaceable coils", do you mean the actual tiny little coils themselves, or - it is called - the atomiser? I've been purchasing replaceable coils for my Socialites atomisers for a while now, and it's a little piece you screw in. Super easy, so perhaps some of my new clearomiser purchases have replaceable atomisers that I haven't yet discovered. snow , the price sounds great for a Nautilus, and especially its clone. Would you recommend a clone? And then you said something about "rewickable". Sorry to sound stupid, but does that mean you take apart the wicked clearomiser and replace the wick itself? That sounds complicated, and messy, ha ha. But I trust it's easy enough for a novice!

... Are you up for buying something somewhat newer for a far more reliable vape? Thanks, DaveJ . That was actually going to be my next question to you all, if you had any suggestions for an upgrade! I suppose, as my clearomisers have been somewhat interchangeable, I haven't really wanted to upgrade, to make use of everything I've got and not have to buy a whole new type of clearomiser. But seeing that I'm spending money on clearomisers that fail, it would be a better investment to buy a kit that works! So yes, please, I'm up for suggestions. (And thank you, jevans . But I can't quite get the ALT key to work, but no worries!)

That's great advice, thank you charliehorse ! Of course I hadn't heard of using vodka or distilled water to dilute. I think you're right in that the liquids that aren't working are a bit too gloopy for the specific clearomisers I'm using. I will try that. (And thank you keepitgoin for letting me know how to tag members in a post.)

Ha ha, the coding on this board is a little different to boards I've posted pictures on in the past, but it works! I had to re-size my images because they came out too big at first. Happy to show you how, KeepItGoin!

Thanks, all! I think my clearomisers are rather basic. I'm currently juggling with these: Atomizer 2.0ML GS H2 WicklessGS eGo 2 H2S ClearomizerThen I went back to the ones with the wick because I thought they might be more reliable: 88Vape CE4 ClearomizerAnd I've still got a modest collection of these: Socialites A3 Clearomizer

I hope I can post my question on this board, as I'm sure there is an answer somewhere on this forum. Please forgive me that my search for the answer became a bit overwhelming because I'm not sure where to start. So if someone can point me to the right thread, I would be most appreciative.
I started out vaping with one brand of e-cig and one or two brands of e-liquid, which worked well. I started to add different liquids for variety, my favourites changed or became discontinued, so I found others. When I noticed my batteries wore down a bit, I invested in another brand of battery that was a little less expensive and provided fun battery colours! Then of course, I had to get new clearomisers to work with the batteries. I noticed I could mix and match a bit, and all was fine.
I've recently had a problem - well, more off-and-on for a good while now. And though I'm not too new to vaping, I don't quite know the terminology and haven't really got to fully understand how e-cigs work. I think it's time I learn!
I've heard the phrase "dry hit" and "burning taste", and that might be what it is. I recently invested in brand-new clearomisers to try to remedy the problem, and I've been frustrated that I cannot get them to work either! A couple have worked, but most of them - not at all. The problem is obviously that the liquid is not burning properly, and I don't know how else to explain it.
I know there are differences in PG vs VG, and I now understand the basics of the liquids. I think the liquids I use are mostly 50/50, but I'm sure some are 30/70... I haven't really paid attention, and most of my bottles are not marked.
I have tried a couple things, like of course letting the liquid seep into a new clearomiser for at least 10 minutes, if not a day. I also saw a tip on YouTube to take a pin and pierce into the wick area of the atomiser to loosen it up a bit, which didn't work. I also saw something about the centre pin to ensure there is a complete connection, and I can't quite locate both pins when I take apart the clearomiser. And unfortunately, I've tried so many brands, they all look different now!
The clearomisers I use are both wicked and those with replaceable coils. My favourite battery now is the EGO II 2200 m/Ah, but I have lots of 650m/Ah by EGO and Socialites, and a couple of 1000m/Ah Kanger EVOD EGO.
Thanks in advance for reading and for your help, and sorry for my lack of knowledge and terminology!

Hello, and thank you to the Moderators for the welcome! I've been vaping for nearly three years, and once I gave up cigarettes after over 10 years, there was no going back to the tar and tobacco.
I joined this forum because I've got a question, so I'll go and find an appropriate board on which to post it now.
